So the Pharisees and scribes asked Jesus, “Why do Your disciples not live their lives according to the tradition of the elders, but [instead] eat their bread with [ceremonially] unwashed hands?”

You get rid of God’s command so you won’t be inconvenienced in following the religious fashions! Moses said, ‘Respect your father and mother,’ and, ‘Anyone denouncing father or mother should be killed.’ But you weasel out of that by saying that it’s perfectly acceptable to say to father or mother, ‘Gift! What I owed you I’ve given as a gift to God,’ thus relieving yourselves of obligation to father or mother. You scratch out God’s Word and scrawl a whim in its place. You do a lot of things like this.” 14-15 Jesus called the crowd together again and said, “Listen now, all of you—take this to heart. It’s not what you swallow that pollutes your life; it’s what you vomit—that’s the real pollution.”

הם שאלו את ישוע: "מדוע התלמידים שלך אינם שומרים את מסורת אבותינו הדורשת נטילת ידיים לפני הארוחה?""צבועים שכמוכם!" ענה להם ישוע. "הנביא ישעיהו תיאר אתכם נכונה כשאמר[a]: '...העם הזה בפיו ובשפתיו כבדוני, ולבו רחק ממני, ותהי יראתם אותי מצות אנשים מלמדה.'

Il profeta Isaia vi descrisse molto bene, quando disse: “Costoro dicono di onorarmi ma i loro cuori sono lontani. La loro adorazione non ha valore, perché insegnano comandamenti fatti dallʼuomo, anziché quelli di Dio!”.

そこで、彼らはイエスに、「どうしてあなたの弟子は、昔からの言い伝えを守らないのか。手も洗わないで食事をするとはけしからん」と言って、詰め寄りました。

Preto teraz dorážali do Ježiša: Prečo tvoji učeníci nedodržiavajú zvyky našich predkov a jedávajú znesvätenými rukami?"

他們質問耶穌：「為什麼你的門徒違背祖先的傳統，竟用不潔淨的手吃飯呢？」
