Mark 10:38

But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism [of suffering and death] with which I am baptized?”

But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?

Jesus said, “You have no idea what you’re asking. Are you capable of drinking the cup I drink, of being baptized in the baptism I’m about to be plunged into?” 39-40 “Sure,” they said. “Why not?”Jesus said, “Come to think of it, you will drink the cup I drink, and be baptized in my baptism. But as to awarding places of honor, that’s not my business. There are other arrangements for that.” 41-45 When the other ten heard of this conversation, they lost their tempers with James and John. Jesus got them together to settle things down. “You’ve observed how godless rulers throw their weight around,” he said, “and when people get a little power how quickly it goes to their heads. It’s not going to be that way with you. Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not to be served—and then to give away his life in exchange for many who are held hostage.” 46-48 They spent some time in Jericho. As Jesus was leaving town, trailed by his disciples and a parade of people, a blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus, son of Timaeus, was sitting alongside the road. When he heard that Jesus the Nazarene was passing by, he began to cry out, “Son of David, Jesus! Mercy, have mercy on me!” Many tried to hush him up, but he yelled all the louder, “Son of David! Mercy, have mercy on me!” 49-50 Jesus stopped in his tracks. “Call him over.”They called him. “It’s your lucky day! Get up! He’s calling you to come!” Throwing off his coat, he was on his feet at once and came to Jesus.

But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?”

Entonces Jesús los amonestó: —¡No sabéis lo que pedís! ¿Acaso podéis beber la copa amarga que yo voy a beber, o ser bautizados con el bautismo de sufrimiento con que yo voy a ser bautizado?

“You don’t know what you’re asking for,” Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup of suffering I drink? Or can you go through the baptism of suffering I must go through?”

“You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said. “Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?”

‘You don’t know what you are asking,’ Jesus said. ‘Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptised with the baptism I am baptised with?’

But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink from the bitter cup of suffering I am about to drink? Are you able to be baptized with the baptism of suffering I must be baptized with?”

Sɛ obi amfa n’asennua na wammedi m’akyi a, ɔrentumi nyɛ me de.

فَقَالَ لَهُمَا يَسُوعُ: «أَنْتُمَا لَا تَدْرِيَانِ مَا تَطْلُبَانِ: أَتَقْدِرَانِ أَنْ تَشْرَبَا الْكَأْسَ الَّتِي سَأَشْرَبُهَا أَنَا، أَوْ تَغُوصَا فِي الآلامِ الَّتِي سَأَغُوصُ فِيهَا؟»

Apan miingon si Jesus kanila, “Wala kamo masayod kon unsa ang inyong gipangayo. Maantos ba ninyo ang kasakit nga akong antuson? Ug maagwanta ba usab ninyo ang kalisod nga akong paga-agian?”

„Nevíte, oč prosíte. Můžete pít z kalicha hořkosti, ze kterého musím pít já, a projít křtem utrpení, který mě čeká?“

„I ved ikke, hvad I beder om. Kan I tømme det lidelsens bæger, som jeg skal tømme? Kan I følge mig i den smertefulde dåb, som jeg skal igennem?”

Jesus entgegnete: »Ihr wisst ja gar nicht, was ihr euch da wünscht! Denn auf mich wartet schweres Leid. Meint ihr, ihr könnt den bitteren Kelch trinken, so wie ich es tun muss? Oder könnt ihr die Taufe ertragen, die mir bevorsteht?[d]«

―No sabéis lo que estáis pidiendo —les replicó Jesús—. ¿Podéis acaso beber el trago amargo de la copa que yo bebo, o pasar por la prueba del bautismo con el que voy a ser probado?[g]

Mais Jésus leur dit : Vous ne vous rendez pas compte de ce que vous demandez ! Pouvez-vous boire la coupe que je vais boire, ou passer par le baptême que j’aurai à subir ?

"אינכם יודעים מה אתם מבקשים!" התפלא ישוע. "האם תוכלו לשתות מהכוס שאני חייב לשתות? האם תוכלו להיטבל בטבילה שאני מוכרח להיטבל?"

Pero nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, “Wala kamo kahibalo kon ano ang inyo ginapangayo. Masarangan bala ninyo ang mga pag-antos nga antuson ko? Kag masarangan man bala ninyo ang mga kalisod nga pagaagihan ko?”[f]

'Ne znate što tražite!' odgovori im Isus. 'Možete li piti iz gorke čaše iz koje ja trebam piti? Ili se krstiti krštenjem trpljenja kojim se ja moram krstiti?'

Ma Gesù rispose: «Voi non vi rendete conto di ciò che state chiedendo! Credete di poter bere quel calice di dolore che berrò io? O pensate di poter ricevere quel battesimo di sofferenza col quale io devo essere battezzato?»

しかし、イエスは言われました。「あなたがたは、何もわかっていませんね。わたしが飲もうとしている恐るべき杯を飲み、わたしが受けようとしている苦しみのバプテスマ（洗礼）を受けることができるとでも言うのですか。」

“너희는 구하고 있는 것이 무엇인지도 모르고 있다. 내가 마셔야 할 [f]고난의 쓴 잔을 너희가 마실 수 있으며 내가 받아야 할 [g]세례를 너희가 받을 수 있겠느냐?”

Men Jesus sa til dem: ”Dere vet ikke hva dere ber om! Klarer dere virkelig å gå gjennom det jeg må gå gjennom? Kan dere holde ut de fryktelige lidelsene som jeg må holde ut?”

Jezus antwoordde: ‘Je weet niet wat je vraagt! Kunnen jullie de beker drinken die Ik moet drinken? Of de vreselijke dingen doorstaan die Ik moet doorstaan?’

—Nie wiecie, o co prosicie!—odrzekł im Jezus. —Czy jesteście gotowi wypić mój „kielich cierpienia”? Albo przejść chrzest, jaki jest dla Mnie przeznaczony?

Disse-lhes Jesus: “Vocês não sabem o que estão pedindo. Podem vocês beber o cálice que eu estou bebendo ou ser batizados com o batismo com que estou sendo batizado?”

Isus le-a zis:– Nu ştiţi ce cereţi. Puteţi voi să beţi paharul pe care îl beau Eu[g] sau să fiţi botezaţi cu botezul cu care sunt botezat Eu[h]?

– Вы не знаете, о чём просите, – сказал им Иса. – Можете ли вы выпить ту чашу страдания, которую Я пью, и пройти то «погружение», которое Я прохожу?

Ježiš im na to povedal: Neviete, o čo žiadate. Môžete piť z kalicha horkosti, z ktorého musím ja piť, a prejsť krstom utrpenia, ktorý ma čaká?" --

Men Jesus sa till dem: ”Ni vet inte vad ni ber om! Kan ni dricka den bägare som jag måste dricka? Kan ni bli döpta med det dop som jag måste döpas med?”[j]

Yesu akawaambia, “Hamjui mnaloliomba. Mko tayari kunywea kikombe cha mateso nitakachokunywa? Mnaweza kubatizwa ubatizo nitakaobatizwa?”

พระเยซูตรัสว่า “ท่านไม่รู้ว่ากำลังขออะไร ถ้วยที่เราดื่มท่านดื่มได้หรือ? และบัพติศมาที่เรารับท่านรับได้หรือ?”

耶稣说：“你们不知道自己在求什么。我要喝的那杯，你们能喝吗？我要受的洗，你们能受吗？”

耶 稣 说 ： 你 们 不 知 道 所 求 的 是 甚 麽 ， 我 所 喝 的 杯 ， 你 们 能 喝 麽 ？ 我 所 受 的 洗 ， 你 们 能 受 麽 ？

耶穌說：「你們不知道自己在求什麼。我要喝的那杯，你們能喝嗎？我要受的洗，你們能受嗎？」
