Leviticus 6:10

The priest is to put on his linen robe, with his linen undergarments next to his body. Then he shall take up the ashes of the burnt offering which the fire has consumed on the altar and put them beside the altar.

Hvis det drejer sig om ovnbagt brød, gælder samme regel: Der må ikke bruges surdej til brødet. Det er præsternes andel af de ofre, der brændes for mig på alteret, men deres andel er for mig lige så hellig som den del, der brændes på alteret. Det samme gælder synd- og skyldofre.
