Leviticus 21:6

They shall be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God; for they present the offerings by fire to the Lord, the food of their God; so they shall be holy.

وَعَلَى الْكَهَنَةِ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مَفْرُوزِينَ لإِلَهِهِمْ. لَا يُدَنِّسُوا اسْمَهُ لأَنَّهُمْ يُقَرِّبُونَ وَقَائِدَ الرَّبِّ كَأَنَّهَا طَعَامٌ يُقَدِّمُونَهُ لإِلَهِهِمْ فَيَكُونُ مُقَدَّساً.

I Guds øjne skal de være hellige, og de må ikke krænke ham eller bringe skam over hans navn. Det er jo dem, der er udvalgt til at bringe ildofre til Herren, og de ofre skal kunne accepteres af deres Gud.

神の前に聖なる者となるように、神の名を冒瀆してはならない。さもないと、火で焼く食物の供え物を神にささげる資格はない。
