Leviticus 20:6

‘As for the person who turns to mediums [who consult the dead] or to spiritists, to play the prostitute after them, I shall set My face against that person and will cut him off from his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them].

And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

“I will resolutely reject persons who dabble in the occult or traffic with mediums, prostituting themselves in their practices. I will cut them off from their people. 7-8 “Set yourselves apart for a holy life. Live a holy life, because I am God, your God. Do what I tell you; live the way I tell you. I am the God who makes you holy.

‘As for the person who turns to [e]mediums and to spiritists, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

“ ‘Suppose someone looks for advice from people who get messages from those who have died. Or they go to people who talk to the spirits of the dead. And they do what those people say. Then they have not been faithful to me. So I will turn against them. I will separate them from their people.

“‘I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people.

‘“I will set my face against anyone who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute themselves by following them, and I will cut them off from their people.

“I will also turn against those who commit spiritual prostitution by putting their trust in mediums or in those who consult the spirits of the dead. I will cut them off from the community.

وَكُلُّ نَفْسٍ غَوَتْ وَرَاءَ أَصْحَابِ الْجَانِّ وَتَعَلَّقَتْ بِالتَّوَابِعِ خِيَانَةً لِي، أَنْقَلِبُ عَلَى تِلْكَ النَّفْسِ وَأَسْتَأْصِلُهَا مِنْ بَيْنِ شَعْبِهَا.

Jeg vil kæmpe imod enhver, som søger kontakt med de døde og henvender sig til sandsigere i stedet for at søge hjælp hos mig. De skal fuldstændig udryddes.
