Leviticus 20:25

You are therefore to make a distinction between the [ceremonially] clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; and you shall not make yourselves detestable by animal or by bird or by anything that crawls on the ground, which I have set apart from you as unclean.

Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

مَيِّزُوا الْبَهَائِمَ الطَّاهِرَةَ مِنَ النَّجِسَةِ، وَالطُّيُورَ النَّجِسَةَ مِنَ الطَّاهِرَةِ، فَلا تُدَنِّسُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ بِالْبَهَائِمِ وَالطُّيُورِ وَالزَّوَاحِفِ الَّتِي حَظَرْتُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ.

Derfor skal I skelne imellem de dyr og fugle, jeg har givet jer tilladelse til at spise, og dem, som jeg har forbudt jer at spise. I må ikke gøre jer selv til genstand for min afsky ved at spise fugle eller dyr, som jeg har forbudt jer at spise.
