Leviticus 2:9

The priest shall take from the grain offering its memorial portion and offer it up in smoke on the altar. It is an offering by fire, a sweet and soothing aroma to the Lord.

And the priest shall take from the meat offering a memorial thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.

Prästen ska sedan ta en del av matoffret som ett påminnelseoffer och bränna det på altaret som eldoffer, en välbehaglig lukt inför Herren.
