Judges 21:5

Then the sons of Israel said, “Which one from all the tribes of Israel did not come up in the assembly to the Lord?” For they had taken a great oath concerning him who did not come up to the Lord at Mizpah, saying, “He shall certainly be put to death.”

And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the Lord? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the Lord to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death.

Then the Israelites said, “Who from all the tribes of Israel didn’t show up as we gathered in the presence of God?” For they had all taken a sacred oath that anyone who had not gathered in the presence of God at Mizpah had to be put to death. 6-7 But the People of Israel were feeling sorry for Benjamin, their brothers. They said, “Today, one tribe is cut off from Israel. How can we get wives for those who are left? We have sworn by God not to give any of our daughters to them in marriage.” 8-9 They said, “Which one of the tribes of Israel didn’t gather before God at Mizpah?”It turned out that no one had come to the gathering from Jabesh Gilead. When they took a roll call of the people, not a single person from Jabesh Gilead was there. 10-11 So the congregation sent twelve divisions of their top men there with the command, “Kill everyone of Jabesh Gilead, including women and children. These are your instructions: Every man and woman who has had sexual intercourse you must kill. But keep the virgins alive.” And that’s what they did.

Then the sons of Israel said, “Who is there among all the tribes of Israel who did not come up in the assembly to the Lord?” For [c]they had taken a great oath concerning him who did not come up to the Lord at Mizpah, saying, “He shall surely be put to death.”

Then the Israelites asked, “Has anyone failed to come here in front of the Lord? Is anyone missing from all the tribes of Israel?” The people had made a promise. They had said that anyone who failed to come to Mizpah in front of the Lord must be put to death.

Then the Israelites asked, “Who from all the tribes of Israel has failed to assemble before the Lord?” For they had taken a solemn oath that anyone who failed to assemble before the Lord at Mizpah was to be put to death.

وَقَالَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ: «هَلْ تَغَيَّبَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَسْبَاطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ حُضُورِ اجْتِمَاعِنَا أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ فِي الْمِصْفَاةِ، لأَنَّنَا أَقْسَمْنَا يَمِيناً مُغْلَظَةً أَنْ نَقْتُلَ كُلَّ مَنْ تَغَيَّبَ عَنِ الْحُضُورِ؟»

Da spurgte de hinanden: „Var nogen af Israels folk ikke repræsenteret under mødet i Mitzpa?” De havde nemlig svoret på, at hvis nogen nægtede at møde op, skulle de straffes med døden.

他们彼此议论说：“我们到米斯巴聚集在耶和华面前的时候，各支派中谁没有来呢？”原来，他们曾经起誓说：凡不到米斯巴聚集在耶和华面前的人都要被处死。

以 色 列 人 彼 此 问 说 ： 以 色 列 各 支 派 中 ， 谁 没 有 同 会 众 上 到 耶 和 华 面 前 来 呢 ？ 先 是 以 色 列 人 起 过 大 誓 说 ， 凡 不 上 米 斯 巴 到 耶 和 华 面 前 来 的 ， 必 将 他 治 死 。
