Judges 21:18

But we cannot give them wives from our daughters.” For the sons of Israel had sworn [an oath], “Cursed is he who gives a wife to [a man from the tribe of] Benjamin.”

لأَنَّنَا نَحْنُ لَا نَقْدِرُ أَنْ نُزَوِّجَهُمْ مِنْ بَنَاتِنَا بَعْدَ أَنْ أَقْسَمْنَا قَائِلِينَ: ’مَلْعُونٌ مَنْ يُزَوِّجُ امْرَأَةً لِرَجُلٍ بِنْيَامِينِيٍّ‘».

Men vi kan inte ge dem våra egna döttrar. Vi israeliter har ju svurit en ed: förbannad är den som ger en hustru åt någon benjaminit.”

เราจะยกลูกสาวของเราเองให้ก็ไม่ได้ เพราะเราปฏิญาณไว้แล้วว่า ‘ถ้าผู้ใดยกบุตรสาวให้เป็นภรรยาของคนเบนยามินคนนั้นจะถูกสาปแช่ง’
