Judges 2:3

So I also said, ‘I will not drive your enemies out before you; but they will be like thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.’”

Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

“So now I’m telling you that I won’t drive them out before you. They’ll trip you up and their gods will become a trap.” 4-5 When God’s angel had spoken these words to all the People of Israel, they cried out—oh! how they wept! They named the place Bokim (Weepers). And there they sacrificed to God. 6-9 After Joshua had dismissed them, the People of Israel went off to claim their allotted territories and take possession of the land. The people worshiped God throughout the lifetime of Joshua and the time of the leaders who survived him, leaders who had been in on all of God’s great work that he had done for Israel. Then Joshua son of Nun, the servant of God, died. He was 110 years old. They buried him in his allotted inheritance at Timnath Heres in the hills of Ephraim north of Mount Gaash.

Therefore I also said, ‘I will not drive them out before you; but they will [b]become as thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.’”

I have said something else. I said, ‘I will not drive out those people to make room for you. They and their gods will become traps for you.’ ”

So now I declare that I will no longer drive out the people living in your land. They will be thorns in your sides,[a] and their gods will be a constant temptation to you.”

لِذَلِكَ قُلْتُ أَيْضاً: لَا أَطْرُدُهُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِكُمْ، فَيُصْبِحُوا شَوْكاً فِي جُنُوبِكُمْ، وَتَكُونُ آلِهَتُهُمْ لَكُمْ شَرَكاً».

Fordi I har gjort det, vil jeg ikke længere drive de folk ud, som bor i jeres land. De vil være en torn i øjet på jer, og de vil lokke jer til at dyrke deres guder.”

Darum werde ich diese Völker nicht mehr aus eurem Gebiet vertreiben. Stattdessen wird das eintreffen, wovor ich euch gewarnt habe: Sie werden euch großes Leid zufügen und euch mit ihren Götzen ins Verderben stürzen.«

あなたがたが契約を破った以上、もはや無効だ。もう、あなたがたの地に住む諸国民を滅ぼすとは約束できない。それどころか、あの人々はあなたがたの悩みの種となり、彼らの神々は常に誘惑となるだろう。」

U hebt het verbond verbroken en daarom verzeker Ik u dat Ik de bevolking van dit land niet zal verdrijven, zoals Ik eerder had beloofd. Deze volken zullen uw vijanden zijn en hun goden zullen voor u een voortdurende verleiding vormen.’

Jag ska inte längre hjälpa er att driva bort folken som bor här i landet. I stället ska de bli en pik i er och deras gudar ska bli en ständig frestelse för er.”
