Judges 15:6

Then the Philistines said, “Who did this?” And they were told, “Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he took Samson’s wife and gave her to his [chief] companion [at the wedding feast].” So the Philistines came up and burned her and her father with fire.

Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.

The Philistines said, “Who did this?”They were told, “Samson, son-in-law of the Timnite who took his bride and gave her to his best man.”The Philistines went up and burned both her and her father to death.

فَسَأَلَ الْفِلِسْطِينِيُّونَ: «مَنِ الْجَانِي؟» فَقِيلَ لَهُمْ: «شَمْشُونُ صِهْرُ التِّمْنِيِّ، لأَنَّهُ أَخَذَ امْرَأَةَ شَمْشُونَ وَزَوَّجَهَا لِنَدِيمِه»، فَصَعِدَ الْفِلِسْطِينِيُّونَ وَأَحْرَقُوهَا مَعَ أَبِيهَا بِالنَّارِ.

„Hvem har gjort det?” spurgte filistrene. „Samson,” lød svaret. „Det er hans hævn over, at hans svigerfar fra Timna bortgiftede hans kone til forloveren.” Så gik filistrene hen og brændte huset ned, så både pigen og hendes far indebrændte.

När filistéerna frågade vem som hade gjort allt detta, blev svaret: ”Simson, timnitens svärson. Han har gjort det därför att hans svärfar gett hans hustru till hans vän.” Filistéerna tog då flickan och hennes far och brände dem levande.
