Judges 12:1

The men of [the tribe of] Ephraim were summoned [to action], and they crossed over to Zaphon and said to Jephthah, “Why did you cross over to fight with the Ammonites without calling us to go with you? [For that] we will burn your house down upon you.”

And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire.

The men of Ephraim mustered their troops, crossed to Zaphon, and said to Jephthah, “Why did you go out to fight the Ammonites without letting us go with you? We’re going to burn your house down on you!” 2-3 Jephthah said, “I and my people had our hands full negotiating with the Ammonites. And I did call to you for help but you ignored me. When I saw that you weren’t coming, I took my life in my hands and confronted the Ammonites myself. And God gave them to me! So why did you show up here today? Are you spoiling for a fight with me?”

Then the men of Ephraim were summoned, and they crossed [a]to Zaphon and said to Jephthah, “Why did you cross over to fight against the sons of Ammon without calling us to go with you? We will burn your house down on you.”

The troops of Ephraim were called out. The troops went across the Jordan River to Zaphon. When they arrived, they said to Jephthah, “You went to fight against the Ammonites. Why didn’t you ask us to go with you? We’re going to burn down your house over your head.”

وَجَهَّزَ سِبْطُ أَفْرَايِمَ جَيْشاً، وَتَقَدَّمُوا شِمَالاً نَحْوَ زَفُونَ قَائِلِينَ لِيَفْتَاحَ: «لِمَاذَا انْطَلَقْتَ لِمُحَارَبَةِ الْعَمُّونِيِّينَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ تَدْعُوَنَا لِلانْضِمَامِ إِلَيْكَ؟ لِنُحْرِقَنَّ عَلَيْكَ بَيْتَكَ بِالنَّارِ».
