Joshua 9:18

But the sons of Israel did not strike them because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the Lord the God of Israel [to spare them]. And all the congregation murmured [expressing great dissatisfaction] against the leaders.

And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the princes.

The sons of Israel did not strike them because the leaders of the congregation had sworn to them by the Lord the God of Israel. And the whole congregation grumbled against the leaders.

But they didn’t attack those cities. That’s because the leaders of the community had given their word and made a peace treaty with them. They had given their word in the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.The whole community told the leaders they weren’t happy with them.

But the Israelites did not attack them, because the leaders of the assembly had sworn an oath to them by the Lord, the God of Israel.The whole assembly grumbled against the leaders,

But the Israelites did not attack the towns, for the Israelite leaders had made a vow to them in the name of the Lord, the God of Israel.The people of Israel grumbled against their leaders because of the treaty.

فَلَمْ يُهَاجِمْهُمُ الْمُحَارِبُونَ لأَنَّ قَادَةَ الْجَمَاعَةِ قَدْ أَبْرَمُوا مَعَهُمْ عَهْداً حَالِفِينَ بِالرَّبِّ إِلَهِ إِسْرَائِيلَ. فَتَذَمَّرَ جَمِيعُ الشَّعْبِ عَلَى الْقَادَةِ.

Men de angreb dem ikke, for deres ledere havde lovet dem fred i Herrens, Israels Guds, navn. Da beklagede israelitterne sig over for deres ledere.

Weil aber die führenden Männer des Volkes im Namen des Herrn, ihres Gottes, den Gibeonitern einen Eid geschworen hatten, vernichteten sie keine der vier Städte. Darüber ärgerte sich ganz Israel und beschwerte sich über seine Führer.

A cause du serment que les responsables du peuple leur avaient prêté au nom de l’Eternel, le Dieu d’Israël, ils ne les tuèrent pas. Tout le peuple se mit à critiquer les responsables,

Pero wala magsalakay ang mga Israelinhon sa ila tungod kay ang mga pangulo sang katilingban may ginsumpaan na nga kasugtanan sa ila sa ngalan sang Ginoo, ang Dios sang Israel.Nagreklamo ang bug-os nga katilingban sa ila mga pangulo,

しかし、イスラエル軍は彼らを攻撃しませんでした。イスラエルの指導者たちが、先に主にかけて誓っていたからです。しかし、治まらないのは会衆で、協定を結んだことで、指導者たちに不平を鳴らしました。

그러나 그들을 칠 수 없었던 것은 백성의 지도자들이 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 이름으로 그들과의 조약을 지키기로 엄숙히 맹세하였기 때문이었다. 이 일로 모든 백성이 그들의 지도자들을 원망하자

De steden werden echter niet aangevallen wegens de eed die de Israëlitische leiders voor de Here, de God van Israël, hadden afgelegd. De Israëlieten namen het hun leiders erg kwalijk dat zij een dergelijk verdrag hadden getekend.

Mas não os atacaram, porque os líderes da comunidade lhes haviam feito um juramento em nome do Senhor, o Deus de Israel.Toda a comunidade, porém, queixou-se contra os líderes,

No entanto, nenhuma dessas cidades foi atacada, devido ao tratado que os líderes de Israel tinham feito na presença do Senhor, o Deus de Israel. O povo de Israel ficou revoltado contra os seus chefes, por causa do engano em que caíram, assinando esse tratado de paz.

Israeliţii nu i-au putut ataca deoarece conducătorii adunării le juraseră pe Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel. Întreaga adunare a cârtit împotriva conducătorilor.

Men på grund av den ed som Israels ledare hade avlagt inför Herren, Israels Gud, kunde de inte anfalla städerna. Israeliterna klagade högljutt på sina ledare,

แต่ชนอิสราเอลไม่ได้โจมตีพวกเขา เพราะบรรดาผู้นำของชุมนุมประชากรได้สาบานไว้กับชาวกิเบโอนโดยอ้างพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอลชุมนุมประชากรทั้งปวงจึงบ่นว่าพวกผู้นำ

会众的首领曾凭以色列的上帝耶和华向他们起过誓，所以不能杀他们。全体会众因此向首领大发怨言。

因 为 会 众 的 首 领 已 经 指 着 耶 和 华 ─ 以 色 列 的 神 向 他 们 起 誓 ， 所 以 以 色 列 人 不 击 杀 他 们 ； 全 会 众 就 向 首 领 发 怨 言 。

會眾的首領曾憑以色列的上帝耶和華向他們起過誓，所以不能殺他們。全體會眾因此向首領大發怨言。
