Joshua 7:11

Israel has sinned; they have also transgressed My covenant which I commanded them [to keep]. They have even taken some of the things under the ban, and they have both stolen and [b]denied [the theft]. Moreover, they have also put the stolen objects among their own things.

لَقَدِ ارْتَكَبَ إِسْرَائِيلُ خَطِيئَةً، بَلْ تَعَدَّوْا عَلَى عَهْدِي الَّذِي أَمَرْتُهُمْ بِهِ، بَلْ أَخَذُوا مِمَّا حَرَّمْتُهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَسَرَقُوا وَأَنْكَرُوا، بَلْ خَبَّأُوا فِي أَمْتِعَتِهِمْ.

Grunden til jeres nederlag er, at Israels folk har brudt den pagt, jeg pålagde dem. De har syndet imod mig ved at tage af det krigsbytte, der skulle gives til mig. Ja, de har stjålet og løjet og gemt det mellem deres personlige ejendele.
