Joshua 6:10

But Joshua commanded the people, “You shall not shout [the battle cry] nor let your voice be heard nor let a word come out of your mouth, until the day I tell you to shout. Then you shall shout!”

Joshua had given orders to the people, “Don’t shout. In fact, don’t even speak—not so much as a whisper until you hear me say, ‘Shout!’—then shout away!” 11-13 He sent the Chest of God on its way around the city. It circled once, came back to camp, and stayed for the night. Joshua was up early the next morning and the priests took up the Chest of God. The seven priests carrying the seven ram’s horn trumpets marched before the Chest of God, marching and blowing the trumpets, with the armed guard marching before and the rear guard marching after. Marching and blowing of trumpets!

وَأَمَرَ يَشُوعُ الشَّعْبَ: «لا تَهْتِفُوا وَلا تَتَكَلَّمُوا، وَلا يَصْدُرْ عَنْ أَفْوَاهِكُمْ صَوْتٌ حَتَّى آمُرَكُمْ بِالْهُتَافِ، وَعِنْدَئِذٍ تَهْتِفُونَ».

„I skal være helt stille!” havde Josva sagt. „Der må ikke høres en lyd med undtagelse af hornene. Men når jeg siger til, skal I råbe af jeres lungers fulde kraft!”

”Ni måste vara alldeles tysta”, sa Josua till folket. ”Ni får inte ge ifrån er ett enda ljud förrän jag befaller er att ropa högt. Då ska ni ge upp ett stridsrop!”

แต่โยชูวาได้กำชับประชากรไว้แล้วว่า “อย่าโห่ร้อง อย่าส่งเสียง อย่าเอ่ยออกมาแม้แต่คำเดียว จนถึงวันที่ข้าพเจ้าสั่งให้โห่ร้อง จึงโห่ร้อง!”
