Joshua 2:14

So the men said to her, “Our lives for yours if you do not tell [anyone about] this business of ours; then when the Lord gives us the land we will show you kindness and faithfulness [and keep our agreement with you].” The Promise to Rahab

And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the Lord hath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

“Our lives for yours!” said the men. “But don’t tell anyone our business. When God turns this land over to us, we’ll do right by you in loyal mercy.” 15-16 She lowered them down out a window with a rope because her house was on the city wall to the outside. She told them, “Run for the hills so your pursuers won’t find you. Hide out for three days and give your pursuers time to return. Then get on your way.” 17-20 The men told her, “In order to keep this oath you made us swear, here is what you must do: Hang this red rope out the window through which you let us down and gather your entire family with you in your house—father, mother, brothers, and sisters. Anyone who goes out the doors of your house into the street and is killed, it’s his own fault—we aren’t responsible. But for everyone within the house we take full responsibility. If anyone lays a hand on one of them, it’s our fault. But if you tell anyone of our business here, the oath you made us swear is canceled—we’re no longer responsible.”

So the men said to her, “Our [j]life [k]for yours if you do not tell this business of ours; and it shall come about when the Lord gives us the land that we will deal kindly and [l]faithfully with you.” The Promise to Rahab

So the men made a promise to her. “If you save our lives, we’ll save yours,” they said. “Just don’t tell anyone what we’re doing. Then we’ll be kind and faithful to you when the Lord gives us the land.”

“Our lives for your lives!” the men assured her. “If you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you kindly and faithfully when the Lord gives us the land.”

‘Our lives for your lives!’ the men assured her. ‘If you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you kindly and faithfully when the Lord gives us the land.’

“We offer our own lives as a guarantee for your safety,” the men agreed. “If you don’t betray us, we will keep our promise and be kind to you when the Lord gives us the land.”

فَأَجَابَهَا الرَّجُلانِ: «لِتَكُنْ أَنْفُسُنَا فِدَاءَ أَنْفُسِكُمْ، شَرْطَ أَلّا تُفْشُوا أَمْرَنَا هَذَا، وَإذَا وَهَبَنَا الرَّبُّ الأَرْضَ فَإِنَّنَا نَصْنَعُ مَعَكِ مَعْرُوفاً بِكُلِّ أَمَانَةٍ».

„Liv for liv!” svor mændene. „Hvis du ikke forråder os, vil vi sørge for, at du og din familie bliver skånet, når Herren giver os sejr over jeres land.”

Die Männer antworteten ihr: »Wenn ihr uns nicht verratet, stehen wir mit unserem Leben dafür ein, dass euch nichts getan wird. Wenn der Herr uns dieses Land gibt, werden wir unser Versprechen einlösen und euch verschonen.«

―¡Juramos por nuestra vida que la vuestra no correrá peligro! —contestaron ellos—. Si no nos delatas, seremos bondadosos contigo y cumpliremos nuestra promesa cuando el Señor nos entregue este país.

Les deux hommes lui répondirent : Notre vie répondra de la vôtre pourvu que tu gardes le secret de cet engagement entre nous. Lorsque l’Eternel nous donnera ce pays, nous serons fidèles à notre promesse et nous te traiterons avec bonté.

Nagsiling ang duha ka espiya kay Rahab, “Igarantiya namon ang amon kabuhi para sa inyo! Kon indi mo lang pag-ipanugid ang amon pagpang-espiya diri, pakitaan ka gid namon sang kaayo. Tumanon gid namon ini kon ihatag na sang Ginoo ining duta sa amon.”

彼らはうなずきました。「われわれのことをしゃべらなければ、あなたにも家族にも傷一つ負わせないと誓おう。いのちにかけても、あなたを守る。」

그때 두 정찰병은 그녀에게 이렇게 대답하였다. “만일 당신이 우리 일을 아무에게도 말하지 않으면 여호와께서 이 땅을 우리에게 주실 때 우리가 목숨을 걸고서라도 당신과 당신의 가족을 구하고 당신을 진심으로 우대할 것을 약속합니다.”

De mannen antwoordden: ‘Als u ons niet verraadt, zullen wij ervoor zorgen dat u en uw familieleden niets overkomt. Wij zullen u dankbaarheid en trouw bewijzen en u met ons eigen leven beschermen.’

“A nossa vida pela de vocês!”, os homens lhe garantiram. “Se você não contar o que estamos fazendo, nós a trataremos com bondade e fidelidade quando o Senhor nos der a terra.”

Os homens concordaram. “Se não nos atraiçoares faremos com que tu e a tua família não sofram dano; proteger-vos-emos, se for preciso, com a nossa própria vida”, prometeram. “Quando o Senhor nos entregar esta terra, usaremos de misericórdia e de fidelidade para contigo.”

– Suntem gata să ne dăm viaţa pentru voi, i-au răspuns bărbaţii, dacă nu ne vei trăda! Iar atunci când Domnul ne va da ţara, ne vom purta cu tine cu bunătate şi credincioşie.

– Наши жизни за ваши жизни! – заверили её лазутчики. – Если ты не выдашь нас, мы проявим к тебе милость и верность, когда Вечный даст нам эту землю.

Männen svarade: ”Vi svarar för er med våra egna liv, om du inte förråder oss. När Herren ger oss landet, ska vi visa er godhet och trohet.”

คนทั้งสองให้ความมั่นใจแก่นางว่า “ชีวิตแลกด้วยชีวิต หากเจ้าไม่แพร่งพรายสิ่งที่เราทำอยู่ เราจะซื่อสัตย์และกรุณาเจ้าเมื่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประทานดินแดนนี้แก่เรา”

二人便对她说：“如果你不泄露我们的事，我们愿意用性命担保，当耶和华把这地方赐给我们的时候，我们一定守信善待你。”

二 人 对 他 说 ： 你 若 不 ? 漏 我 们 这 件 事 ， 我 们 情 愿 替 你 们 死 。 耶 和 华 将 这 地 赐 给 我 们 的 时 候 ， 我 们 必 以 慈 爱 诚 实 待 你 。

二人便對她說：「如果你不洩露我們的事，我們願意用性命擔保，當耶和華把這地方賜給我們的時候，我們一定守信善待你。」
