Joel 2:3

Before them a fire devours,And behind them a flame burns;Before them the land is like the Garden of Eden,But behind them a desolate wilderness;And nothing at all escapes them.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

Like fire they eat up everything in their path. Behind them it looks as if flames have burned the land.In front of them the land is like the Garden of Eden. Behind them it is a dry and empty desert. Nothing escapes them.

تَلْتَهِمُ النَّارُ مَا أَمَامَهَا، وَيُحْرِقُ اللهِيبُ مَا خَلْفَهَا. الأَرْضُ قُدَّامَهَا كَجَنَّةِ عَدْنٍ، وَخَلْفَهَا صَحْرَاءُ مُوْحِشَةٌ، وَلا شَيْءَ يَنْجُو مِنْهَا.

Den stormer frem som en steppebrand. Foran den ligger landet grønt og frugtbart som Edens have, bagved den er landet øde som en ørken. Intet undslipper.

Feuer lodert vor diesen Truppen her, und wenn sie weg sind, steht alles in Flammen. Bevor sie über das Land herfallen, ist es ein blühendes Paradies[a], doch kaum sind sie hindurchgezogen, bleibt nur noch eine trostlose Wüste zurück. Es gibt kein Entrinnen vor ihnen!

Un feu dévore devant luiet la flamme consume |derrière lui.Avant qu’il ne le foule, |le pays s’étendait |comme un jardin d’Eden[b],mais après son passage |ce n’est plus qu’un désert |tout entier dévasté ;non, rien ne lui échappe.

その行く先々に火の手が上がり、回りにも広がる。前には、エデンの園のように美しい地が広がっているが、彼らはそれを根こそぎ破壊する。

Framför dem går en förtärande eld, bakom dem en brännande låga. Framför dem ligger landet som Edens trädgård, men bakom dem är öde öken. Ingenting undkommer.

เบื้องหน้ามันมีไฟเผาผลาญเบื้องหลังมีเปลวไฟแผดกล้าตรงหน้ามันมีดินแดนงดงามเหมือนสวนเอเดนคล้อยหลังมันเหลือแต่แดนร้างไม่มีสิ่งใดพ้นเงื้อมมือมันไปได้

它们的前队如火燎原，后队如熊熊烈焰。它们未到以前，大地美得像伊甸园；它们过去之后，大地变成一片荒场。地上的一切都逃不过这一场浩劫。

他 们 前 面 如 火 烧 灭 ， 後 面 如 火 焰 烧 尽 。 未 到 以 前 ， 地 如 伊 甸 园 ； 过 去 以 後 ， 成 了 荒 凉 的 旷 野 ； 没 有 一 样 能 躲 避 他 们 的 。
