Job 7:1

“Is not man forced to labor on earth?And are not his days like the days of a hired man?

Is there not an appointed time to man upon earth? are not his days also like the days of an hireling?

1-6 “Human life is a struggle, isn’t it? It’s a life sentence to hard labor. Like field hands longing for quitting time and working stiffs with nothing to hope for but payday,I’m given a life that meanders and goes nowhere— months of aimlessness, nights of misery!I go to bed and think, ‘How long till I can get up?’ I toss and turn as the night drags on—and I’m fed up!I’m covered with maggots and scabs. My skin gets scaly and hard, then oozes with pus.My days come and go swifter than the click of knitting needles, and then the yarn runs out—an unfinished life! 7-10 “God, don’t forget that I’m only a puff of air! These eyes have had their last look at goodness.And your eyes have seen the last of me; even while you’re looking, there’ll be nothing left to look at.When a cloud evaporates, it’s gone for good; those who go to the grave never come back.They don’t return to visit their families; never again will friends drop in for coffee.

Job continued,“Don’t all human beings have to work hard on this earth? Aren’t their days like the days of hired workers?

“Do not mortals have hard service on earth? Are not their days like those of hired laborers?

“Is not all human life a struggle? Our lives are like that of a hired hand,

أَلَيْسَتْ حَيَاةُ الإِنْسَانِ جِهَاداً شَاقّاً عَلَى الأَرْضِ، وَأَيَّامُهُ كَأَيَّامِ الأَجِيرِ؟

„Det er hårdt at være menneske, at slide som en slave dagen lang.

»Das Leben der Menschen gleicht der Zwangsarbeit,von früh bis spät müssen sie sich abmühen!

»¿No tenemos todos una obligación en este mundo? ¿No son nuestros días como los de un asalariado?

Le sort de l’homme sur la terre |est celui d’un soldatet ses jours sont semblables |à ceux d’un mercenaire.

人は、どうして苦しみもだえなければならないのか。人の一生は、奴隷の日々のように長く苛酷だ。

“인생은 전쟁을 하는 것 같고 그 사는 날이 품팔이꾼의 생활과 같다.

‘Wat heeft de mens toch een hard leven op aarde. Zijn zijn dagen niet als die van een gehuurde arbeider?

“Não é pesado o labor do homem na terra?Seus dias não são como os de um assalariado?

A humanidade é obrigada a lutar.A vida duma pessoa é longa e dura;os seus dias são semelhantes aos dum assalariado.

Oare nu are omul o viaţă plină de trudă[a] pe pământ? Oare nu sunt zilele lui ca ale unui ziler[b]?

“มนุษย์ไม่ต้องดิ้นรนตรากตรำในโลกเหมือนทหารที่ถูกเกณฑ์หรอกหรือ?ชีวิตของเขาไม่เหมือนชีวิตลูกจ้างหรอกหรือ?

“人生在世岂不像服劳役吗？他有生之年岂不像个雇工吗？

人 在 世 上 岂 无 争 战 麽 ？ 他 的 日 子 不 像 雇 工 人 的 日 子 麽 ？
