Jeremiah 5:4

Then I said, “[Surely] these are only the poor (uneducated);They are [sinfully] foolish and have no [spiritual] understanding,For they do not know the way of the LordOr the ordinance of their God [and the requirements of His just and righteous law].

Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

Then I said, “They are only the poor,They are foolish;For they do not know the way of the LordOr the ordinance of their God.

I thought, “The people of Jerusalem are foolish.They don’t know how the Lord wants them to live. They don’t know what their God requires of them.

Then I said, “But what can we expect from the poor? They are ignorant.They don’t know the ways of the Lord. They don’t understand God’s laws.

فَقُلْتُ فِي نَفْسِي: «إِنَّمَا هُمْ مَسَاكِينُ حَمْقَى، يَجْهَلُونَ طَرِيقَ الرَّبِّ وَقَضَاءَ إِلَهِهِمْ.

Men så sagde jeg til mig selv: „Deres tåbelighed må skyldes, at de ikke ved, hvad Herren forventer af dem. De stakkels uvidende mennesker kender slet ikke Guds love.

Ich dachte: »So sind nur die Ungebildeten, die den Willen des Herrn und die Gebote ihres Gottes nicht kennen.

私は思いました。「無知で哀れな者に、いったい何を期待できよう。神の道を知らないのだから、神に従うことなどどうしてできるだろう」と。

그때 나는 이런 생각을 했습니다. “이들은 정말 불쌍하고 미련한 자들이구나. 자기 하나님이 무엇을 요구하시며 무엇을 원하는지도 모르고 있다.

Toen zei ik: ‘Maar wat kunnen wij verwachten van de armen die niets weten? Zij kennen Gods geboden niet. Hoe kunnen zij Hem dan gehoorzamen?’

Pensei: Eles são apenas pobres e ignorantes,não conhecem o caminho do Senhor, as exigências do seu Deus.

Então eu disse: “Que podemos nós esperar de uns pobres ignorantes? Eles não sabem qual é o caminho do Senhor, como podem obedecer-lhe?

Jag tänkte: ”De är bara enkelt folk, de är dåraktiga, de känner inte till Herrens vilja och vad Gud kräver.

我想：“他们贫穷、愚昧，不明白他们上帝耶和华的道，也不知道祂的法令。

我 说 ： 这 些 人 实 在 是 贫 穷 的 ， 是 愚 昧 的 ， 因 为 不 晓 得 耶 和 华 的 作 为 和 他 们 神 的 法 则 。

我想：「他們貧窮、愚昧，不明白他們上帝耶和華的道，也不知道祂的法令。
