Jeremiah 5:1

“Roam back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem,And look now and take note.And look in her open squaresTo see if you can find a man [as Abraham sought in Sodom],One who is just, who [has integrity and moral courage and] seeks truth (faithfulness);Then I will pardon Jerusalem—[for the sake of one uncompromisingly righteous person].

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

1-2 “Patrol Jerusalem’s streets. Look around. Take note.Search the market squares. See if you can find one man, one woman,A single soul who does what is right and tries to live a true life. I want to forgive that person.” God’s Decree.“But if all they do is say, ‘As sure as God lives . . .’ they’re nothing but a bunch of liars.” 3-6 But you, God, you have an eye for truth, don’t you?You hit them hard, but it didn’t faze them. You disciplined them, but they refused correction.Hardheaded, harder than rock, they wouldn’t change.Then I said to myself, “Well, these are just poor people. They don’t know any better.They were never taught anything about God. They never went to prayer meetings.I’ll find some people from the best families. I’ll talk to them.They’ll know what’s going on, the way God works. They’ll know the score.”But they were no better! Rebels all! Off doing their own thing.The invaders are ready to pounce and kill, like a mountain lion, a wilderness wolf,Panthers on the prowl. The streets aren’t safe anymore.And why? Because the people’s sins are piled sky-high; their betrayals are past counting.

The Lord says, “Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem. Look around. Think about what you see.Search through the market. See if you can find one honest person who tries to be truthful. If you can, I will forgive this city.

“Run up and down every street in Jerusalem,” says the Lord. “Look high and low; search throughout the city!If you can find even one just and honest person, I will not destroy the city.

اذْرَعُوا شَوَارِعَ أُورُشَلِيمَ ذِهَاباً وَإِيَاباً، وَانْظُرُوا وَاعْتَبِرُوا. ابْحَثُوا فِي أَرْجَاءِ سَاحَاتِهَا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَجِدُونَ رَجُلاً وَاحِداً يُجْرِي الْعَدْلَ وَيَنْشُدُ الْحَقَّ، فَأَصْفَحَ عَنْهَا.

Herren fortsatte: „Gå en tur gennem Jerusalems gader og torve og se jer godt omkring. Hvis I kan finde bare én, der er ærlig og søger sandheden, vil jeg skåne byen.

Gott sagt: »Geht doch einmal durch die Straßen von Jerusalem und schaut euch um! Sucht alle Plätze ab! Wenn ihr auch nur einen Einzigen findet, der sich an das Recht hält und zu seinem Wort steht, dann will ich ganz Jerusalem vergeben.

«Recorred las calles de Jerusalén, observad con cuidado, buscad por las plazas.Si encontráis una sola persona que practique la justicia y busque la verdad, yo perdonaré a esta ciudad.

Nagsiling ang Ginoo, “Mga pumuluyo sang Jerusalem, kadto kamo sa inyo mga dalan! Tan-awa ang mga plasa! Kon may makita kamo bisan isa lang ka tawo nga matarong kag masaligan, patawaron ko ang inyo siyudad.

エルサレム中の通りを駆け巡れ。高い所も低い所も探して、正直で公平を愛している者が一人でもいるかどうか、調べてみなさい。あらゆる広場を探して、そのような者がただの一人でもいたら、わたしはこの都を滅ぼさない。

“너희는 예루살렘 거리로 가서 이리저리 왔다갔다하며 사방 찾아보아라. 너희 가 만일 정직하고 진실한 자를 한 사람이라도 발견하면 내가 이 성을 용서하겠다.

‘Ren op en neer door elke straat in Jeruzalem, kijk of u ook maar één eerlijke en trouwe man kunt vinden! Zoek op elk plein en als u er één kunt vinden, zal Ik de stad niet verwoesten!

“Percorram as ruas de Jerusalém, olhem e observem.“Procurem em suas praças para ver se podem encontrar alguém que aja com honestidade e que busque a verdade.Então eu perdoarei a cidade.

“Percorram todas as ruas de Jerusalém em todas as direções! Procurem em todos os cantos e vejam se podem encontrar um só homem reto e honesto! Procurem em cada largo, em cada cruzamento e, se conseguirem encontrar um só que seja, eu não destruirei a cidade!

„Cutreieraţi drumurile Ierusalimului, priviţi cu luare-aminte şi căutaţi în pieţe!Dacă veţi găsi un om care să înfăptuiască ce este drept şi să caute adevărul, voi ierta Ierusalimul.

– Пройдите по улицам Иерусалима, посмотрите, разведайте, поищите на площадях:если найдёте хотя бы одного человека, поступающего честно и ищущего правды, тогда Я пощажу этот город.

”Gå gata upp och gata ner i Jerusalem! Se er noga omkring! Sök på torgen, om ni kan finna någon, om det finns någon enda som handlar rätt och söker sanning – då ska jag förlåta staden!

“จงวิ่งไปวิ่งมาตามถนนหนทางในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มจงมองไปรอบๆ และพิเคราะห์ดูจงค้นหาตามลานเมืองต่างๆหากเจ้าหาพบแม้แต่คนเดียวที่ซื่อสัตย์และแสวงหาความจริงเราก็จะยกโทษให้เมืองนี้

耶和华说：“你们在耶路撒冷街头四处看看，在广场找找，如果你们能找到一个公正诚实的人，我就赦免这城。

你 们 当 在 耶 路 撒 冷 的 街 上 跑 来 跑 去 ， 在 宽 阔 处 寻 找 ， 看 看 有 一 人 行 公 义 求 诚 实 没 有 ？ 若 有 ， 我 就 赦 免 这 城 。

耶和華說：「你們在耶路撒冷街頭四處看看，在廣場找找，如果你們能找到一個公正誠實的人，我就赦免這城。
