Jeremiah 48:37

For every head is [shaven] bald and every beard cut off; there are cuts (slashes) on all the hands and sackcloth on the [f]loins [all expressions of mourning].

For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.

“Everywhere you look are signs of mourning: heads shaved, beards cut,Hands scratched and bleeding, clothes ripped and torn.

قَدْ أَصْبَحَ كُلُّ رَأْسٍ أَقْرَعَ، وَكُلُّ لِحْيَةٍ مَحْلُوقَةً، تَجَرَّحَتِ الأَيْدِي وَتَمَنْطَقَتِ الأَحْقَاءُ بِالْمُسُوحِ.

Alle indbyggerne vil i fortvivlelse rage hår og skæg af, skære rifter i hænderne og klæde sig i sæk og aske.

彼らは苦しみもだえて頭の毛とひげをそり、手に傷をつけ、袋を作る材料の荒布を身にまといます。

모든 사람이 자기들의 머리를 밀고 수염을 깎았으며 손에 상처를 내고 삼베 옷을 입었구나.

Zij scheren hun hoofdhaar en baard uit vertwijfeling af, snijden zich in de handen en dragen rouwkleding.

Já andam a rapar as cabeças e as barbas, por causa da angústia que os aperta; golpeiam as mãos e vestem-se de pano de serapilheira.

Varje huvud är rakat och varje skägg avklippt. Varje hand är ristad och var och en har klätt sig i säcktyg.
