Jeremiah 47:7

“How can His sword be quietWhen the Lord has given it an order?Against Ashkelon and against the [whole Philistine] seashoreThere He has assigned it.”

How can it be quiet, seeing the Lord hath given it a charge against Ashkelon, and against the sea shore? there hath he appointed it.

“But how can it quit when I, God, command the action?I’ve ordered it to cut down Ashkelon and the seacoast.”

كَيْفَ يُمْكِنُ لَهُ أَنْ يَسْتَكِينَ، وَقَدْ أَصْدَرَ الرَّبُّ لَهُ أَمْرَهُ لِيَضْرِبَ أَشْقَلُونَ وَمُدُنَ سَاحِلِ الْبَحْرِ، هُنَاكَ وَاعَدَهُ الرَّبُّ عَلَى اللِّقَاءِ».

for det er mig, der har sendt dem. Jeg har beordret dem til at slå ned på Ashkalon, ja, alle dem, der bor langs havet.”

Doch wie kann das Schwert ruhen, wenn ich, der Herr, ihm einen Auftrag gegeben habe? Ich selbst habe ihm befohlen, Aschkelon und das Gebiet an der Küste zu zerstören!«

しかし、いったん主が使命を与えたからには、じっとしていることはできません。アシュケロンの町と、海岸沿いの住民は、どうしても滅ぼされなければならないのです。モアブについてのメッセージモアブ人について――
