Jeremiah 44:5

But they did not listen or turn [obediently] from their wickedness, and stop burning sacrifices and incense to other gods.

فَلَمْ يَرْتَدِعُوا وَلا سَمِعُوا لِيَتُوبُوا وَيَكُفُّوا عَنْ إِحْرَاقِ الْبَخُورِ لِتِلْكَ الأَصْنَامِ،

Men de ville ikke høre efter, og de omvendte sig ikke fra deres ondskab. De blev ved med at ofre røgelse til de fremmede guder.

Maar zij weigerden te luisteren en wilden niet van hun slechte wegen terugkeren, zij bleven reukwerk verbranden voor deze zogenaamde goden.
