Jeremiah 44:19

And said the wives, “When we were burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and were pouring out drink offerings to her, was it without [the knowledge and approval of] our husbands that we made cakes [in the shape of a star] to represent her and pour out drink offerings to her?” Tragedy for the Jews

And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

And then the women chimed in: “Yes! Absolutely! We’re going to keep at it, offering sacrifices to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out offerings to her. Aren’t our husbands behind us? They like it that we make goddess cookies and pour out our offerings to her.” 20-23 Then Jeremiah spoke up, confronting the men and the women, all the people who had answered so insolently. He said, “The sacrifices that you and your parents, your kings, your government officials, and the common people of the land offered up in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem—don’t you think God noticed? He noticed, all right. And he got fed up. Finally, he couldn’t take your evil behavior and your disgusting acts any longer. Your land became a wasteland, a death valley, a horror story, a ghost town. And it continues to be just that. This doom has come upon you because you kept offering all those sacrifices, and you sinned against God! You refused to listen to him, wouldn’t live the way he directed, ignored the covenant conditions.” 24-25 Jeremiah kept going, but now zeroed in on the women: “Listen, all you who are from Judah and living in Egypt—please, listen to God’s Word. God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘You women! You said it and then you did it. You said, “We’re going to keep the vows we made to sacrifice to the Queen of Heaven and pour out offerings to her, and nobody’s going to stop us!”’ 25-27 “Well, go ahead. Keep your vows. Do it up big. But also listen to what God has to say about it, all you who are from Judah but live in Egypt: ‘I swear by my great name, backed by everything I am—this is God speaking!—that never again shall my name be used in vows, such as “As sure as the Master, God, lives!” by anyone in the whole country of Egypt. I’ve targeted each one of you for doom. The good is gone for good. 27-28 “‘All the Judeans in Egypt will die off by massacre or starvation until they’re wiped out. The few who get out of Egypt alive and back to Judah will be very few, hardly worth counting. Then that ragtag bunch that left Judah to live in Egypt will know who had the last word. 29-30 “‘And this will be the evidence: I will bring punishment right here, and by this you’ll know that the decrees of doom against you are the real thing. Watch for this sign of doom: I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt over to his enemies, those who are out to kill him, exactly as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah to his enemy Nebuchadnezzar, who was after him.’”

“And,” said the women, “when we were burning [s]sacrifices to the queen of heaven and [t]were pouring out drink offerings to her, was it without our husbands that we made for her sacrificial cakes [u]in her image and poured out drink offerings to her?” Calamity for the Jews

The women added, “We burned incense to the Queen of Heaven. We poured out drink offerings to her. And our husbands knew we were making cakes that looked like her. They knew we were pouring out drink offerings to her.”

The women added, “When we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands know that we were making cakes impressed with her image and pouring out drink offerings to her?”

The women added, ‘When we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands know that we were making cakes impressed with her image and pouring out drink offerings to her?’

“Besides,” the women added, “do you suppose that we were burning incense and pouring out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven, and making cakes marked with her image, without our husbands knowing it and helping us? Of course not!”

وَقَالَتِ النِّسَاءُ: «عِنْدَمَا أَحْرَقْنَا الْبَخُورَ لِمَلِكَةِ السَّمَاءِ وَقَرَّبْنَا لَهَا السَّكَائِبَ وَعَمِلْنَا أَقْرَاصاً مُمَاثِلَةً لِصُورَتِهَا، وَقَرَّبْنَا السَّكَائِبَ لَهَا، هَلْ فَعَلْنَا ذَلِكَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمِ أَزْوَاجِنَا؟».

Kvinderne tilføjede: „Tror du for øvrigt, at vi dyrker Himlens Dronning, udgyder drikofre til hende og bager kager til hendes ære uden at vores mænd ved det?”

Dann sagten die Frauen: »Unsere Männer erlauben uns schließlich, der Himmelskönigin zu opfern. Wir verbrennen Weihrauch für die Göttin, wir backen Kuchen, die sie darstellen sollen, und gießen Wein als Trankopfer für sie aus.« Nur ein kleiner Rest von euch wird übrig bleiben

Nagsiling man ang mga babayi, “Sang nagsunog kami sang insenso sa Rayna sang Langit kag naghalad sang halad nga ilimnon sa iya, kag nagluto sang tinapay sa iya dagway, nahibaluan ini sang amon bana.”

女たちも、負けずに口をはさみました。「私たちは夫と相談して『天の女王』を拝み、それにぶどう酒を注ぎ、女王にかたどったケーキを作ったのです。黙って内緒でしたわけではありません。」

그러자 여자들이 덧붙여 말하였다. “우리가 하늘의 여왕에게 분향하고 그 앞에 술을 따르며 그 모양을 본떠서 과자를 만들어 제사지낼 때 우리 남편들의 승낙 없이 한 줄 아시오?”

‘En,’ voegden de vrouwen daar nog aan toe, ‘dacht u dat wij de “koningin van de hemel” aanbaden, drankoffers voor haar uitgoten en koeken met haar beeltenis erop bakten, zonder dat onze mannen ervan wisten en ons hielpen? Natuurlijk niet!’

E as mulheres acrescentaram: “Quando queimávamos incenso à Rainha dos Céus e derramávamos ofertas de bebidas para ela, será que era sem o consentimento de nossos maridos que fazíamos bolos na forma da imagem dela e derramávamos as ofertas de bebidas?”

E acrescentaram as mulheres: “Julgas que nós adorávamos a Rainha dos Céus, lhe oferecíamos as nossas libações e fazíamos bolos com a sua imagem, tudo isso sem os nossos maridos soubessem e nos ajudassem? Com certeza que não!”

Och kvinnorna sa: ”När vi tände rökelse åt himlens drottning och utgöt dryckesoffer åt henne var det ju inte utan våra mäns samtycke som vi gjorde offerkakor med hennes bild på och utgöt dryckesoffer åt henne.”

พวกผู้หญิงพูดด้วยว่า “เมื่อเราเผาเครื่องหอมถวายเทวีแห่งสวรรค์ รินเครื่องดื่มบูชาถวายพระนาง และทำขนมรูปพระนางถวายนั้น สามีของเราไม่รู้ไม่เห็นหรือ?”

那些烧香的妇女说：“你以为我们的丈夫不知道我们向天后烧香奠酒、照着她的形象做祭饼吗？”

妇 女 说 ： 我 们 向 天 后 烧 香 、 浇 奠 祭 ， 做 天 后 像 的 饼 供 奉 他 ， 向 他 浇 奠 祭 ， 是 外 乎 我 们 的 丈 夫 麽 ？

那些燒香的婦女說：「你以為我們的丈夫不知道我們向天后燒香奠酒、照著她的形像做祭餅嗎？」
