Jeremiah 4:10

Then I said, “[a]Alas, Lord God! Surely You have completely deceived and misled this people and Jerusalem, [for the prophets represented You as] saying [to Your people], ‘You will have peace,’ but [in fact] a sword reaches to their throat.”

Then said I, Ah, Lord God! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.

Then I said, “Alas, Master God! You’ve fed lies to this people, this Jerusalem.You assured them, ‘All is well, don’t worry,’ at the very moment when the sword was at their throats.” 11-12 At that time, this people, yes, this very Jerusalem, will be told in plain words:“The northern hordes are sweeping in from the desert steppes—A wind that’s up to no good, a gale-force wind. I ordered this wind.I’m pronouncing my hurricane judgment on my people.” Your Evil Life Is Piercing Your Heart13-14 Look at them! Like banks of storm clouds, racing, tumbling, their chariots a tornado,Their horses faster than eagles! Woe to us! We’re done for!Jerusalem! Scrub the evil from your lives so you’ll be fit for salvation.How much longer will you harbor devious and malignant designs within you? 15-17 What’s this? A messenger from Dan? Bad news from Ephraim’s hills!Make the report public. Broadcast the news to Jerusalem:“Invaders from far off are raising war cries against Judah’s towns.They’re all over her, like a dog on a bone. And why? Because she rebelled against me.” God’s Decree.

Then I said, “Ah, Lord [b]God! Surely You have utterly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, ‘You will have peace’; whereas a sword touches the [c]throat.”

Then I said, “You are my Lord and King. You have completely tricked the people of Judah and Jerusalem! You have told them, ‘You will have peace and rest.’ But swords are pointed at our throats!”

Then I said, “Alas, Sovereign Lord! How completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying, ‘You will have peace,’ when the sword is at our throats!”

Then I said, ‘Alas, Sovereign Lord! How completely you have deceived this people and Jerusalem by saying, “You will have peace,” when the sword is at our throats!’

Then I said, “O Sovereign Lord, the people have been deceived by what you said,for you promised peace for Jerusalem. But the sword is held at their throats!”

عِنْدَئِذٍ قُلْتُ: «آهِ أَيُّهَا السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ، حَقّاً إِنَّكَ خَدَعْتَ هَذَا الشَّعْبَ، وَأَوْهَمْتَ أَهْلَ أُورُشَلِيمَ قَائِلاً: سَيَكُونُ لَكُمْ سَلامٌ، وَهَا السَّيْفُ قَدْ بَلَغَ حَدَّ النَّفْسِ.

„Jamen, Herre,” protesterede jeg, „har du så ikke narret folket ved at love Jerusalem fred og fremgang? Då sa jag:[a] ”Men min Herre, Herre, hur har du inte bedragit detta folk och Jerusalem! Du lovade oss fred, men nu har vi svärdet riktat mot strupen.”

แล้วข้าพเจ้ากราบทูลว่า “ข้าแต่พระยาห์เวห์องค์เจ้าชีวิต พระองค์ทรงหลอกลวงเยรูซาเล็มและชนชาตินี้แน่แล้ว ก็ไหนพระองค์ตรัสว่า ‘เจ้าจะมีสันติสุข’ แต่นี่ดาบจ่อที่คอหอยข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายแล้ว”

我说：“唉！主耶和华啊，你完全欺骗了这群百姓和耶路撒冷人，因为你说，‘你们会安享太平。’其实剑锋已指着他们的咽喉了。”

我 说 ： 哀 哉 ！ 主 耶 和 华 啊 ， 你 真 是 大 大 地 欺 哄 这 百 姓 和 耶 路 撒 冷 ， 说 ： 你 们 必 得 平 安 。 其 实 刀 剑 害 及 性 命 了 。

我說：「唉！主耶和華啊，你完全欺騙了這群百姓和耶路撒冷人，因為你說，『你們會安享太平。』其實劍鋒已指著他們的咽喉了。」
