Jeremiah 38:9

“My lord the king, these men have acted wickedly in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet whom they have thrown into the cistern; and he will die [of hunger] where he is because of the famine, for there is no more bread in the city.”

“My lord the king,” he said, “these men have done a very evil thing in putting Jeremiah the prophet into the cistern. He will soon die of hunger, for almost all the bread in the city is gone.”

«يَامَوْلايَ الْمَلِكَ، قَدْ أَسَاءَ هَؤُلاءِ الرِّجَالُ إِلَى إِرْمِيَا النَّبِيِّ بِمَا أَوْقَعُوهُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرٍّ حِينَ زَجُّوهُ فِي الْجُبِّ. فَإِنَّهُ لابُدَّ أَنْ يَتَعَرَّضَ لِلْمَوْتِ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ الْجُوعِ، إِذْ لَا خُبْزَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ».

„Herre konge,” sagde han. „Der er begået en meget ondsindet handling imod profeten Jeremias. Man har kastet ham i et tomt vandreservoir, og dér vil han dø af sult, for han får ingen mad.”

“Mahal nga Hari, malain ang ginhimo sang sina nga mga tawo kay Jeremias. Ginhulog nila siya sa buho, kag mapatay gid siya didto sa gutom kon maubos na ang pagkaon sa siyudad.”

「王よ。あの四人は、エレミヤを井戸につり降ろすという、悪を行いました。町にはもう、パンはほとんどありません。このままだと、彼は飢え死にします。」
