Jeremiah 37:17

Zedekiah the king sent and brought him out; and in his palace the king secretly asked him, “Is there any word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said, “There is!” Then he said, “You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the Lord? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.

Later King Zedekiah had Jeremiah brought to him. The king questioned him privately, “Is there a Message from God?”“There certainly is,” said Jeremiah. “You’re going to be turned over to the king of Babylon.” 18-20 Jeremiah continued speaking to King Zedekiah: “Can you tell me why you threw me into prison? What crime did I commit against you or your officials or this people? And tell me, whatever has become of your prophets who preached all those sermons saying that the king of Babylon would never attack you or this land? Listen to me, please, my master—my king! Please don’t send me back to that dungeon in the house of Jonathan the secretary. I’ll die there!”

Now King Zedekiah sent and took him out; and in his palace the king secretly asked him and said, “Is there a word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said, “There is!” Then he said, “You will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon!”

Then King Zedekiah sent for him. King Zedekiah had Jeremiah brought to the palace. There the king spoke to him in private. The king asked, “Do you have a message from the Lord for me?”“Yes,” Jeremiah replied. “You will be handed over to the king of Babylon.”

ثُمَّ اسْتَدْعَاهُ الْمَلِكُ صِدْقِيَّا، وَسَأَلَهُ فِي قَصْرِهِ سِرّاً: «هَلْ عِنْدَكَ كَلِمَةُ وَحْيٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ الرَّبِّ؟» فَأَجَابَهُ إِرْمِيَا: «نَعَمْ». ثُمَّ أَضَافَ: «إِنَّكَ سَتُسَلَّمُ إِلَى يَدِ مَلِكِ بَابِلَ».
