Jeremiah 34:18

The men who have violated My covenant, who have not kept the terms of the solemn pledge which they made before Me when they split the [sacrificial] calf in half, and then afterwards walked between its separated pieces [sealing their pledge to Me by placing a curse on themselves should they violate the covenant—those men I will make like the calf]!

And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the parts thereof,

Those people who have broken my covenant will be punished. They have not lived up to the terms of the covenant they made in front of me. When you made that covenant, you cut a calf in two. Then you walked between its pieces. Now I will cut you to pieces.

Those who have violated my covenant and have not fulfilled the terms of the covenant they made before me, I will treat like the calf they cut in two and then walked between its pieces.

وَأُسَلِّمُ النَّاسَ الَّذِينَ تَعَدَّوْا عَلَى عَهْدِي وَلَمْ يُنَفِّذُوا بُنُودَ مِيثَاقِي الَّذِي قَطَعُوهُ أَمَامِي (عِنْدَمَا) شَقُّوا الْعِجْلَ إِلَى شَطْرَيْنِ وَاجْتَازُوا بَيْنَهُمَا،

Je livrerai ces hommes qui ont transgressé cette alliance que j’avais ratifiée. Car vous n’avez pas tenu les engagements que vous aviez pris lorsque vous avez conclu cette alliance devant moi en coupant un veau en deux et en passant entre les deux moitiés[d].
