Jeremiah 32:23

They entered and took possession of it, but they did not obey Your voice or walk in Your law; they have done nothing of all that You commanded them to do. Therefore You have caused all this disaster and suffering to come upon them.

Vores forfædre erobrede landet og bosatte sig der, men de nægtede at følge dig og adlyde dine love. De har praktisk talt ikke adlydt dig på et eneste punkt. Det er derfor, du har sendt denne frygtelige katastrofe over dem.

De kom dit och tog det i besittning, men de lydde dig inte och följde inte din lag. De gjorde ingenting av det du befallt dem att göra. Det är därför som du låtit allt detta onda drabba dem.
