Jeremiah 22:10

Do not weep for the dead or mourn for him;But weep bitterly for the one who goes away [into exile],For he will never returnAnd see his native country [again].

Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: but weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country.

Don’t weep over dead King Josiah. Don’t waste your tears.Weep for his exiled son: He’s gone for good. He’ll never see home again. 11-12 For this is God’s Word on Shallum son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah: “He’s gone from here, gone for good. He’ll die in the place they’ve taken him to. He’ll never see home again.” 13-17 “Doom to him who builds palaces but bullies people, who makes a fine house but destroys lives,Who cheats his workers and won’t pay them for their work,Who says, ‘I’ll build me an elaborate mansion with spacious rooms and fancy windows.I’ll bring in rare and expensive woods and the latest in interior decor.’So, that makes you a king— living in a fancy palace?Your father got along just fine, didn’t he? He did what was right and treated people fairly,And things went well with him. He stuck up for the down-and-out,And things went well for Judah. Isn’t this what it means to know me?” God’s Decree!“But you’re blind and brainless. All you think about is yourself,Taking advantage of the weak, bulldozing your way, bullying victims.” 18-19 This is God’s epitaph on Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah: “Doom to this man!Nobody will shed tears over him, ‘Poor, poor brother!’Nobody will shed tears over him, ‘Poor, poor master!’They’ll give him a donkey’s funeral, drag him out of the city and dump him. You’ve Made a Total Mess of Your Life20-23 “People of Jerusalem, climb a Lebanon peak and weep, climb a Bashan mountain and wail,Climb the Abarim ridge and cry— you’ve made a total mess of your life.I spoke to you when everything was going your way. You said, ‘I’m not interested.’You’ve been that way as long as I’ve known you, never listened to a thing I said.All your leaders will be blown away, all your friends end up in exile,And you’ll find yourself in the gutter, disgraced by your evil life.You big-city people thought you were so important, thought you were ‘king of the mountain’!You’re soon going to be doubled up in pain, pain worse than the pangs of childbirth. 24-26 “As sure as I am the living God”—God’s Decree—“even if you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were the signet ring on my right hand, I’d pull you off and give you to those who are out to kill you, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and the Chaldeans, and then throw you, both you and your mother, into a foreign country, far from your place of birth. There you’ll both die.

لَا تَنُوحُوا عَلَى الْمَيْتِ وَلا تَنْدُبُوهُ، إِنَّمَا ابْكُوا عَلَى الْمَنْفِيِّ الَّذِي لَنْ يَرْجِعَ وَلَنْ يَرَى أَرْضَ مَوْطِنِهِ

Græd ikke over den konge, som allerede er død,[a] men græd over ham, der føres bort i eksil og aldrig mere får sit fædreland at se.

»Beweint nicht den Tod von König Josia,[a] trauert nicht um ihn! Weint vielmehr über König Schallum[b], der nun weggeführt wurde! Denn er kehrt nicht mehr zurück und wird seine Heimat nie wiedersehen.

死人のために泣いてはならない。連れて行かれた捕虜のために泣きなさい。彼らは二度と祖国の土を踏めないからだ。

유다 백성들아, 너희는 죽은 자를 위해 울거나 슬퍼하지 말고 차라리 잡혀간 자를 위해 울고 슬퍼하여라. 그는 돌아와서 고국 땅을 다시 보지 못할 것이다.

Huil niet om de dood van koning Josia, maar treur eerder om zijn verbannen zoon, koning Sallum. Hij zal niet meer terugkomen, nooit zal hij zijn geboorteland terugzien.

Não chorem pelo rei morto nem lamentem sua perda.Chorem amargamente, porém, por aquele que está indo para o exílio,porque jamais voltaránem verá sua terra natal.

Povo de Judá, não chorem pelo rei Josias! Não lamentem a sua morte! Chorem antes amargamente pelo seu filho que será levado e nunca mais voltará para ver de novo a terra natal.

Gråt inte över den döde, sörj honom inte. Gråt i stället över den som vandrar bort, för han ska aldrig mer återvända och se det land där han föddes.

อย่าร่ำไห้ให้แก่กษัตริย์ที่ตายหรือคร่ำครวญถึงความสูญเสียของเขาเลยแต่จงร้องไห้อย่างขมขื่นให้แก่บรรดาคนที่ตกเป็นเชลยเพราะเขาจะไม่ได้กลับมาเห็นบ้านเกิดเมืองนอนอีกแล้ว

你们不要为死去的王哀哭，要为被掳走的王哀哭，因为他必一去不返，再也看不到自己的家园。

你們不要為死去的王哀哭，要為被擄走的王哀哭，因為他必一去不返，再也看不到自己的家園。
