Jeremiah 1:6

Then I said, “Ah, Lord God!Behold, I do not know how to speak,For I am [only] a young man.”

Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

But I said, “Hold it, Master God! Look at me. I don’t know anything. I’m only a boy!” 7-8 God told me, “Don’t say, ‘I’m only a boy.’ I’ll tell you where to go and you’ll go there.I’ll tell you what to say and you’ll say it. Don’t be afraid of a soul.I’ll be right there, looking after you.” God’s Decree. 9-10 God reached out, touched my mouth, and said, “Look! I’ve just put my words in your mouth—hand-delivered!See what I’ve done? I’ve given you a job to do among nations and governments—a red-letter day!Your job is to pull up and tear down, take apart and demolish,And then start over, building and planting.” Stand Up and Say Your Piece11-12 God’s Message came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said, “A walking stick—that’s all.”And God said, “Good eyes! I’m sticking with you. I’ll make every word I give you come true.” 13-15 God’s Message came again: “So what do you see now?” I said, “I see a boiling pot, tipped down toward us.”Then God told me, “Disaster will pour out of the north on everyone living in this land.Watch for this: I’m calling all the kings out of the north.” God’s Decree. 15-16 “They’ll come and set up headquarters facing Jerusalem’s gates,Facing all the city walls, facing all the villages of Judah.I’ll pronounce my judgment on the people of Judah for walking out on me—what a terrible thing to do!—And courting other gods with their offerings, worshiping as gods sticks they’d carved, stones they’d painted.

Then I said, “Alas, Lord [a]God!Behold, I do not know how to speak,Because I am a youth.”

“You are my Lord and King,” I said. “I don’t know how to speak. I’m too young.”

“Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

‘Alas, Sovereign Lord,’ I said, ‘I do not know how to speak; I am too young.’

“O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!”

فَقُلْتُ: «آهِ، أَيُّهَا السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ إِنِّي لَا أَعْرِفُ مَاذَا أَقُولُ، لأَنِّي مَازِلْتُ وَلَداً»

„Åh, almægtige Gud!” svarede jeg. „Jeg er alt for ung. Jeg har slet ikke autoritet til at kunne tale som profet.”

Ich aber erwiderte: »O nein, mein Herr und Gott! Ich habe keine Erfahrung im Reden, denn ich bin noch viel zu jung!«

Je répondis : Hélas, Seigneur Eternel, je ne sais pas m’exprimer, car je suis un adolescent.

Nagsabat ako, “O Ginoong Dios, indi ako maayo maghambal; bataon pa ako.”

「神よ、とんでもないことです。私にできるはずがありません。若すぎて、何を語ればよいのかわかりません。

그때 나는 “여호와 하나님이시여, 나는 아직도 어려서 말할 줄도 모릅니다” 하고 대답하였다.

‘Oppermachtige Here,’ zei ik, ‘maar dat kan ik niet! Ik ben nog veel te jong!’

Mas eu disse: Ah, Soberano Senhor! Eu não sei falar, pois ainda sou muito jovem.

“Oh! Senhor Deus!”, disse eu. “Não posso fazer isso! Sou ainda tão novo! Sou apenas um moço!”

Eu am răspuns:– Ah, Stăpâne Doamne, eu nu ştiu să vorbesc, căci sunt doar un copil!

Jag svarade: ”Min Herre, Herre, jag kan inte tala! Jag är för ung!”

ข้าพเจ้ากราบทูลว่า “ข้าแต่พระยาห์เวห์องค์เจ้าชีวิต ข้าพระองค์ไม่รู้ว่าจะพูดอย่างไร เพราะข้าพระองค์ยังเด็กเกินไป”

我回答说：“主耶和华啊，我太年轻，不懂得怎样说话。”

我 就 说 ： 主 耶 和 华 啊 ， 我 不 知 怎 样 说 ， 因 为 我 是 年 幼 的 。

我回答說：「主耶和華啊，我太年輕，不懂得怎樣說話。」
