Isaiah 7:12

But Ahaz said, “[e]I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!”

But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the Lord.

But Ahaz said, “I’d never do that. I’d never make demands like that on God!” 13-17 So Isaiah told him, “Then listen to this, government of David! It’s bad enough that you make people tired with your pious, timid hypocrisies, but now you’re making God tired. So the Master is going to give you a sign anyway. Watch for this: A girl who is presently a virgin will get pregnant. She’ll bear a son and name him Immanuel (God-With-Us). By the time the child is twelve years old, able to make moral decisions, the threat of war will be over. Relax, those two kings that have you so worried will be out of the picture. But also be warned: God will bring on you and your people and your government a judgment worse than anything since the time the kingdom split, when Ephraim left Judah. The king of Assyria is coming!” 18-19 That’s when God will whistle for the flies at the headwaters of Egypt’s Nile, and whistle for the bees in the land of Assyria. They’ll come and infest every nook and cranny of this country. There’ll be no getting away from them.

But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!”

But Ahaz said, “I won’t ask. I won’t test the Lord.”

But Ahaz said, “I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.”

But Ahaz said, ‘I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.’

But the king refused. “No,” he said, “I will not test the Lord like that.”

فَأَجَابَ آحَازُ: «لَنْ أَطْلُبَ وَلَنْ أُجَرِّبَ الرَّبَّ».

Men kongen nægtede at gøre det: „Jeg vil ikke udfordre Herren ved at bede om et tegn!”

Doch Ahas wehrte ab: »Nein, nein, darauf lasse ich mich nicht ein! Ich will den Herrn nicht auf die Probe stellen.«

Pero Acaz respondió:―No pondré a prueba al Señor, ni le pediré nada.

Mais Ahaz dit : Je n’en demanderai pas. Je ne veux pas forcer la main à l’Eternel.

Nagsabat si Ahaz, “Indi ako magpangayo sang tanda. Indi ko pagtilawan ang Ginoo.”

「とんでもないことです。そんなことで主を煩わすことなどできません。」王は首を振りました。

그러나 아하스는 “아닙니다. 나는 주를 시험하지 않겠습니다” 하고 대답하였다.

Maar de koning weigerde. ‘Nee,’ zei hij, ‘ik wil de Here niet op de proef stellen.’

Mas Acaz disse: “Não pedirei; não porei o Senhor à prova”.

Mas o rei recusou: “Não, não peço! Não poria o Senhor à prova!”

Dar Ahaz a răspuns:– Nu voi cere! Nu-L voi pune la încercare pe Domnul!

Но Ахаз сказал:– Я не стану просить, не буду испытывать Вечного.

Men Achas sa: ”Jag vill inte be, jag vill inte pröva Herren.”

แต่อาหัสตรัสว่า “เราจะไม่ทูลขอ เราจะไม่ทดลององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า”

但亚哈斯说：“我不求，我不要试探耶和华。”

亚 哈 斯 说 ： 我 不 求 ； 我 不 试 探 耶 和 华 。

但亞哈斯說：「我不求，我不要試探耶和華。」
