Isaiah 64:1

Oh, that You would tear open the heavens and come down,That the mountains might quake at Your presence—

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,

1-7 Oh, that you would rip open the heavens and descend, make the mountains shudder at your presence—As when a forest catches fire, as when fire makes a pot to boil—To shock your enemies into facing you, make the nations shake in their boots!You did terrible things we never expected, descended and made the mountains shudder at your presence.Since before time began no one has ever imagined,No ear heard, no eye seen, a God like you who works for those who wait for him.You meet those who happily do what is right, who keep a good memory of the way you work.But how angry you’ve been with us! We’ve sinned and kept at it so long! Is there any hope for us? Can we be saved?We’re all sin-infected, sin-contaminated. Our best efforts are grease-stained rags.We dry up like autumn leaves— sin-dried, we’re blown off by the wind.No one prays to you or makes the effort to reach out to youBecause you’ve turned away from us, left us to stew in our sins.

لَيْتَكَ تَشُقُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَتَنْزِلُ فَتَتَزَلْزَلَ الْجِبَالُ مِنْ حَضْرَتِكَ!

Det ville få folkeslagene til at skælve af angst og fjenderne til at frygte dit herlige navn, som når ild sætter kvas i brand og bringer vand i kog.

Komm mit Macht – so wie ein Feuer, das im Nu einen Reisighaufen verzehrt und Wasser zum Sieden bringt! Lass deine Gegner erfahren, wer du bist. Die Völker sollen vor dir zittern.

Comme le feu |consume les tailliset fait bouillonner l’eau,ainsi tu ferais connaître ton nom |à tous tes adversaires,et tous les peuples |trembleraient devant toi.

Pihaka ang langit, Ginoo, kag magpanaog ka, kag magatay-og ang mga bukid sa imo presensya.

ああ、神が天を引き裂いて地上に降りてきますように。山々は御前で、どれほど揺れ動くことでしょう。

여호와여, 하늘을 가르고 내려오소서. 작은 나뭇가지가 불에 타고

Och, als U eens de hemel openscheurde en naar beneden kwam! De bergen zouden schudden in uw aanwezigheid!

Ah, se rompesses os céus e descesses! Os montes tremeriam diante de ti!

O, de ai despica cerurile şi ai coborî! Cum ar tremura munţii înaintea Ta!
