Isaiah 58:1

“Cry aloud, do not hold back;Lift up your voice like a trumpet,And declare to My people their transgressionAnd to the house of Jacob their sins.

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

1-3 “Shout! A full-throated shout! Hold nothing back—a trumpet-blast shout!Tell my people what’s wrong with their lives, face my family Jacob with their sins!They’re busy, busy, busy at worship, and love studying all about me.To all appearances they’re a nation of right-living people— law-abiding, God-honoring.They ask me, ‘What’s the right thing to do?’ and love having me on their side.But they also complain, ‘Why do we fast and you don’t look our way? Why do we humble ourselves and you don’t even notice?’ 3-5 “Well, here’s why: “The bottom line on your ‘fast days’ is profit. You drive your employees much too hard.You fast, but at the same time you bicker and fight. You fast, but you swing a mean fist.The kind of fasting you do won’t get your prayers off the ground.Do you think this is the kind of fast day I’m after: a day to show off humility?To put on a pious long face and parade around solemnly in black?Do you call that fasting, a fast day that I, God, would like? 6-9 “This is the kind of fast day I’m after: to break the chains of injustice, get rid of exploitation in the workplace, free the oppressed, cancel debts.What I’m interested in seeing you do is: sharing your food with the hungry, inviting the homeless poor into your homes, putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad, being available to your own families.Do this and the lights will turn on, and your lives will turn around at once.Your righteousness will pave your way. The God of glory will secure your passage.Then when you pray, God will answer. You’ll call out for help and I’ll say, ‘Here I am.’ A Full Life in the Emptiest of Places9-12 “If you get rid of unfair practices, quit blaming victims, quit gossiping about other people’s sins,If you are generous with the hungry and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out,Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness, your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight.I will always show you where to go. I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places— firm muscles, strong bones.You’ll be like a well-watered garden, a gurgling spring that never runs dry.You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations from out of your past.You’ll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.

The Lord told me,“Shout out loud. Do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.Tell my people that they have refused to obey me. Tell the family of Jacob how much they have sinned.

“Shout it aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet.Declare to my people their rebellion and to the descendants of Jacob their sins.

“Shout with the voice of a trumpet blast. Shout aloud! Don’t be timid.Tell my people Israel[a] of their sins!

نَادِ بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِكَ، لَا تَصْمُتْ. اهْتُفْ بِصَوْتِكَ كَنَفِيرِ بُوقٍ، وَأَخْبِرْ شَعْبِي بِإِثْمِهِمْ، وَذُرِّيَّةَ يَعْقُوبَ بِخَطَايَاهُمْ.

Herren siger: „Råb højt, skån ikke din stemme! Giv signal som med en trompet! Sig til mit folk: I har syndet og gjort oprør imod mig.

»Ruf, so laut du kannst! Lass deine Stimme erklingen, mächtig wie eine Posaune! Halte meinem Volk seine Vergehen vor, zähl den Nachkommen von Jakob ihre Sünden auf!

»¡Grita con toda tu fuerza, no te reprimas! Alza tu voz como trompeta.Denuncia a mi pueblo sus rebeldías; sus pecados, a los descendientes de Jacob.

»¡Grita con toda tu fuerza, no te reprimas! Alza tu voz como trompeta.Denúnciale a mi pueblo sus rebeldías; sus pecados, a los descendientes de Jacob.

Crie de toutes tes forceset ne te retiens pas.Fais retentir ta voix |comme le son du cor[a] !A mon peuple dénonce sa révolte,et aux descendants de Jacob leurs fautes.

Nagasiling ang Ginoo, “Magsinggit kamo sing tudo nga daw pareho katunog sa budyong! Indi ninyo ini pagpunggi! Ipahibalo sa akon katawhan nga mga kaliwat ni Jacob ang ila mga sala kag mga paglapas.

「ラッパのような大声で叫べ。わたしの民に、彼らの罪が何であるかを知らせよ。

여호와께서 말씀하신다. “너는 될 수 있는 대로 크게 외쳐라. 나팔처 럼 네 목청을 높여 내 백성에게 그들의 죄를 말해 주어라.

Roep met alle kracht, laat uw stem klinken als een bazuin, wijs mijn volk op zijn overtredingen, vertel de nakomelingen van Jakob hun zonden.

“Grite alto, não se contenha!Levante a voz como trombeta.Anuncie ao meu povo a rebelião dele, e à comunidade de Jacó, os seus pecados.

Clamem com uma voz como de trombeta! Denunciem claramente ao meu povo a sua maldade, aos descendentes de Jacob os seus pecados!

«Strigă tare, nu te opri! Înalţă-ţi glasul ca o trâmbiţă!Fă-i cunoscută poporului Meu răzvrătirea şi Casei lui Iacov – păcatele!

– Выкрикивай громко, не сдерживайся; возвысь свой голос, подобно рогу!Возвести Моему народу об их отступничестве, потомкам Якуба – об их грехах.

”Ropa ut det så högt du kan, låt din röst ljuda som en trumpetstöt! Förklara för mitt folk deras brott, för Jakobs släkt deras synder.

“จงตะโกนดังๆ ไม่ต้องออมเสียงไว้จงเปล่งเสียงให้ดังเหมือนเสียงแตรเขาสัตว์จงแจ้งประชากรของเราถึงการทรยศของพวกเขาและแจ้งวงศ์วานของยาโคบถึงบาปทั้งหลายของเขา

“你要高声呼喊，不要停止；要放声高呼，像响亮的号角。要向我的子民宣告他们的过犯，向雅各家宣告他们的罪恶。

你 要 大 声 喊 叫 ， 不 可 止 息 ； 扬 起 声 来 ， 好 像 吹 角 。 向 我 百 姓 说 明 他 们 的 过 犯 ； 向 雅 各 家 说 明 他 们 的 罪 恶 。

「你要高聲呼喊，不要停止；要放聲高呼，像響亮的號角。要向我的子民宣告他們的過犯，向雅各家宣告他們的罪惡。
