Isaiah 53:1

Who has believed [confidently trusted in, relied on, and adhered to] our message [of salvation]?And to whom [if not us] has the arm and infinite power of the Lord been revealed?

Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

Who believes what we’ve heard and seen? Who would have thought God’s saving power would look like this? 2-6 The servant grew up before God—a scrawny seedling, a scrubby plant in a parched field.There was nothing attractive about him, nothing to cause us to take a second look.He was looked down on and passed over, a man who suffered, who knew pain firsthand.One look at him and people turned away. We looked down on him, thought he was scum.But the fact is, it was our pains he carried— our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us.We thought he brought it on himself, that God was punishing him for his own failures.But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins!He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises we get healed.We’re all like sheep who’ve wandered off and gotten lost. We’ve all done our own thing, gone our own way.And God has piled all our sins, everything we’ve done wrong, on him, on him. 7-9 He was beaten, he was tortured, but he didn’t say a word.Like a lamb taken to be slaughtered and like a sheep being sheared, he took it all in silence.Justice miscarried, and he was led off— and did anyone really know what was happening?He died without a thought for his own welfare, beaten bloody for the sins of my people.They buried him with the wicked, threw him in a grave with a rich man,Even though he’d never hurt a soul or said one word that wasn’t true.

Who has believed our message?And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Who has believed what we’ve been saying? Who has seen the Lord’s saving power?

مَنْ آمَنَ بِكَلامِنَا، وَلِمَنْ ظَهَرَتْ يَدُ الرَّبِّ؟

Hvem troede på budskabet? Hvem blev Herrens magt åbenbaret for?

Doch wer glaubt schon unserer Botschaft? Wer erkennt, dass der Herr es ist, der diese mächtigen Taten vollbringt?

Sin-o bala ang nagpati sa amon mensahi? Sin-o bala sa mga ginpakitaan sang Ginoo sang iya gahom ang nagtuo?

しかし、それを信じる人はなんと少ないことでしょう。だれが、耳をすまして聞くでしょう。神はだれに、救いの力を示すのでしょう。

우리가 전한 것을 누가 믿었으며 [a]여호와의 능력이 누구에게 나타났는 가?

Maar ach, wie gelooft wat wij vertellen? Wie zal luisteren? Aan wie heeft God zijn macht geopenbaard?

Quem creu em nossa mensagem? E a quem foi revelado o braço do Senhor?

Mas quem creu na nossa pregação? A quem foi revelado o braço forte do Senhor?

Cine a crezut mesajul nostru? Cui i-a fost descoperit braţul Domnului?

Men vem trodde på vårt budskap, och för vem har Herren uppenbarat sin arm[a]?

ใครเล่าได้เชื่อถ้อยคำของเราและพระกรขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้สำแดงแก่ผู้ใด?

谁相信我们所传的呢？耶和华的大能向谁彰显过呢？
