Isaiah 42:1

“Behold, My [a]Servant, whom I [b]uphold;My Chosen One in whom My soul delights.I have put My Spirit upon Him;He will bring forth justice to the nations.

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

1-4 “Take a good look at my servant. I’m backing him to the hilt.He’s the one I chose, and I couldn’t be more pleased with him.I’ve bathed him with my Spirit, my life. He’ll set everything right among the nations.He won’t call attention to what he does with loud speeches or gaudy parades.He won’t brush aside the bruised and the hurt and he won’t disregard the small and insignificant, but he’ll steadily and firmly set things right.He won’t tire out and quit. He won’t be stopped until he’s finished his work—to set things right on earth.Far-flung ocean islands wait expectantly for his teaching.” The God Who Makes Us Alive with His Own Life5-9 God’s Message, the God who created the cosmos, stretched out the skies, laid out the earth and all that grows from it,Who breathes life into earth’s people, makes them alive with his own life:“I am God. I have called you to live right and well. I have taken responsibility for you, kept you safe.I have set you among my people to bind them to me, and provided you as a lighthouse to the nations,To make a start at bringing people into the open, into light: opening blind eyes, releasing prisoners from dungeons, emptying the dark prisons.I am God. That’s my name. I don’t franchise my glory, don’t endorse the no-god idols.Take note: The earlier predictions of judgment have been fulfilled. I’m announcing the new salvation work.Before it bursts on the scene, I’m telling you all about it.” 10-16 Sing to God a brand-new song, sing his praises all over the world!Let the sea and its fish give a round of applause, with all the far-flung islands joining in.Let the desert and its camps raise a tune, calling the Kedar nomads to join in.Let the villagers in Sela round up a choir and perform from the tops of the mountains.Make God’s glory resound; echo his praises from coast to coast.God steps out like he means business. You can see he’s primed for action.He shouts, announcing his arrival; he takes charge and his enemies fall into line: “I’ve been quiet long enough. I’ve held back, biting my tongue.But now I’m letting loose, letting go, like a woman who’s having a baby—Stripping the hills bare, withering the wildflowers,Drying up the rivers, turning lakes into mudflats.But I’ll take the hand of those who don’t know the way, who can’t see where they’re going.I’ll be a personal guide to them, directing them through unknown country.I’ll be right there to show them what roads to take, make sure they don’t fall into the ditch.These are the things I’ll be doing for them— sticking with them, not leaving them for a minute.”

“Here is my servant. I take good care of him. I have chosen him. I am very pleased with him.I will put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.

“Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight;I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.

‘Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight;I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.

“Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, who pleases me.I have put my Spirit upon him. He will bring justice to the nations.

هُوَذَا عَبْدِي الَّذِي أَعْضُدُهُ، مُخْتَارِي الَّذِي ابْتَهَجَتْ بِهِ نَفْسِي. وَضَعْتُ رُوحِي عَلَيْهِ لِيَسُوسَ الأُمَمَ بِالْعَدْلِ.

Herren siger: „Se min tjener, som jeg holder i min hånd, min udvalgte, som jeg er fuldt tilfreds med. Jeg lægger min Ånd på ham, han skal bringe retfærdighed til alle folkeslag.

Der Herr spricht: »Seht, hier ist mein Diener, zu dem ich stehe. Ihn habe ich auserwählt, und ich freue mich über ihn. Ich habe ihm meinen Geist gegeben, und er wird den Völkern mein Recht verkünden.

»Este es mi siervo, a quien sostengo, mi escogido, en quien me deleito;sobre él he puesto mi Espíritu, y llevará justicia a las naciones.

Voici mon serviteur, |que je soutiens,celui que j’ai choisi, |qui fait toute ma joie.Je lui ai donné mon Espritet il établira |le droit pour tous les peuples[a].

Nagsiling ang Ginoo, “Ari ang akon alagad nga akon ginapabaskog. Ginpili ko siya kag nalipay ako sa iya. Gamhan ko siya sang akon Espiritu, kag ipaluntad niya ang hustisya sa mga nasyon.

わたしの支えるしもべ、わたしの喜びとする選ばれた者に目を留めよ。わたしは彼に、わたしの霊を与えた。彼は世界の国々に正義を示す。

여호와께서 말씀하신다. “내가 붙드는 나의 종, 내가 택하고 기뻐하 는 자를 보아라. 내가 그에게 내 성령을 주었으니 그가 [a]온 세상에 진리를 전할 것이다.

Let op mijn dienaar, die Ik mijn steun geef, die Ik heb uitgekozen, Hij verheugt mijn hart. Ik heb Hem mijn Geest gegeven en Hij zal rechtspreken over de volken.

“Eis o meu servo, a quem sustento,o meu escolhido, em quem tenho prazer. Porei nele o meu Espírito,e ele trará justiça às nações.

Aqui está o meu servo, que eu sustento; o meu escolhido em quem a minha alma tem prazer. Pus o meu Espírito sobre ele e julgará as nações.

Iată-L pe Robul Meu, pe Care Îl sprijin, Alesul Meu, în Care-Mi găsesc plăcerea!Voi pune Duhul Meu peste El, iar El va arăta neamurilor dreptatea.

– Вот Мой Раб, Которого Я укрепляю, Мой Избранный, Который Мне угоден!Я дам Ему Духа Моего, и Он свершит правосудие для народов.

Detta är min tjänare som jag uppehåller, min utvalde som jag håller kär! Jag låter min Ande komma över honom, han ska föra ut rätten för folken.

“นี่คือผู้รับใช้ของเรา ซึ่งเราเชิดชูผู้ที่เราเลือกสรรไว้ ซึ่งเราชื่นชมเราจะส่งวิญญาณของเราลงมาเหนือเขาและเขาจะนำความยุติธรรมไปถึงบรรดาประชาชาติ

“看啊，我所扶持、所拣选、所喜悦的仆人，我已将我的灵赐给祂，祂必将正义带给万邦。

看 哪 ， 我 的 仆 人 ─ 我 所 扶 持 所 拣 选 、 心 里 所 喜 悦 的 ！ 我 已 将 我 的 灵 赐 给 他 ； 他 必 将 公 理 传 给 外 邦 。

「看啊，我所扶持、所揀選、所喜悅的僕人，我已將我的靈賜給祂，祂必將正義帶給萬邦。
