Isaiah 33:12

“The peoples will be burned to lime,Like thorns cut down which are burned in the fire.

And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.

The nations will be burned to ashes. They will be like bushes that are cut down and set on fire.

وَتُصْبِحُ الشُّعُوبُ كَوَقُودِ الْكِلْسِ، كَأَشْوَاكٍ مُسْتَأْصَلَةٍ مُحْتَرِقَةٍ بِالنَّارِ».

Jeres hære skal smuldre som sten, der brændes til kalk, og forgå som tjørn, der fortæres af ilden.
