Isaiah 30:1

“Woe (judgment is coming) to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord,“Who carry out a plan, but not Mine,And make an alliance [by pouring out a libation], but not of My Spirit,In order to add sin to sin;

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

1-5 “Doom, rebel children!” God’s Decree.“You make plans, but not mine. You make deals, but not in my Spirit.You pile sin on sin, one sin on top of another,Going off to Egypt without so much as asking me,Running off to Pharaoh for protection, expecting to hide out in Egypt.Well, some protection Pharaoh will be! Some hideout, Egypt!They look big and important, true, with officials strategically established inZoan in the north and Hanes in the south, but there’s nothing to them.Anyone stupid enough to trust them will end up looking stupid—All show, no substance, an embarrassing farce.” 6-7 And this note on the animals of the Negev encountered on the road to Egypt:A most dangerous, treacherous route, menaced by lions and deadly snakes.And you’re going to lug all your stuff down there, your donkeys and camels loaded down with bribes,Thinking you can buy protection from that hollow farce of a nation?Egypt is all show, no substance. Quit hounding us with The Holy of Israel.” 12-14 Therefore, The Holy of Israel says this: “Because you scorn this Message,Preferring to live by injustice and shape your lives on lies,This perverse way of life will be like a towering, badly built wallThat slowly, slowly tilts and shifts, and then one day, without warning, collapses—Smashed to bits like a piece of pottery, smashed beyond recognition or repair,Useless, a pile of debris to be swept up and thrown in the trash.” God Takes the Time to Do Everything Right15-17 God, the Master, The Holy of Israel, has this solemn counsel:“Your salvation requires you to turn back to me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves.Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me—The very thing you’ve been unwilling to do.You’ve said, ‘Nothing doing! We’ll rush off on horseback!’ You’ll rush off, all right! Just not far enough!You’ve said, ‘We’ll ride off on fast horses!’ Do you think your pursuers ride old nags?Think again: A thousand of you will scatter before one attacker. Before a mere five you’ll all run off.There’ll be nothing left of you— a flagpole on a hill with no flag, a signpost on a roadside with the sign torn off.”

“Woe to the rebellious children,” declares the Lord,“Who execute a plan, but not Mine,And [a]make an alliance, but not of My Spirit,In order to add sin to sin;

“How terrible it will be for these stubborn children of mine!” announces the Lord.“How terrible for those who carry out plans that did not come from me! Their agreement with Egypt did not come from my Spirit. So they pile up one sin on top of another.

“Woe to the obstinate children,” declares the Lord,“to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin;

“What sorrow awaits my rebellious children,” says the Lord.“You make plans that are contrary to mine. You make alliances not directed by my Spirit, thus piling up your sins.

يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ: «وَيْلٌ لِلْبَنِينَ الْمُتَمَرِّدينَ الَّذِينَ يَنْصَاعُونَ لِمَشُورَةٍ لَمْ تَصْدُرْ عَنِّي، وَيُبْرِمُونَ عَهْداً لَيْسَ مِنْ رُوحِي، لِيُضِيفُوا خَطِيئَةً إِلَى خَطِيئَةٍ.

Ve jer, mine børn, siger Herren, for I har gjort oprør imod mig! I lægger planer, men det er ikke mine planer. I beder om hjælp fra andre nationer, men ikke fra min Ånd. Jeres synderegister bliver større og større.

”Ve er, ni upproriska barn, säger Herren. Ni genomför planer som inte är mina, ni sluter förbund som inte är av min Ande, och så hopar ni synd på synd.

องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศว่า“วิบัติแก่ลูกหลานที่ดื้อรั้นแก่ผู้ซึ่งทำตามแผนการที่ไม่ได้มาจากเราทำสัญญาไมตรีโดยไม่ได้อาศัยวิญญาณของเราทำบาปซ้อนบาป

耶和华说：“我悖逆的儿女有祸了！他们不遵行我的旨意，按自己的计划行事；未经我同意，擅自与人结盟，不断犯罪。

耶 和 华 说 ： 祸 哉 ！ 这 悖 逆 的 儿 女 。 他 们 同 谋 ， 却 不 由 於 我 ， 结 盟 ， 却 不 由 於 我 的 灵 ， 以 致 罪 上 加 罪 ；

耶和華說：「我悖逆的兒女有禍了！他們不遵行我的旨意，按自己的計劃行事；未經我同意，擅自與人結盟，不斷犯罪。
