Hosea 8:7

For they sow the wind [in evil]And they reap the whirlwind [in disaster].The standing grain has no growth;It yields no grain.If it were to yield, strangers would swallow it up.

For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

The Lord says,“Worshiping other gods is like worshiping the wind. It is like planting worthless seeds.Assyria is like a windstorm. That is all my people will harvest.There are no heads of grain on the stems that will come up. So they will not produce any flour.Even if they did produce grain, the Assyrians would eat all of it up.

“They have planted the wind and will harvest the whirlwind.The stalks of grain wither and produce nothing to eat.And even if there is any grain, foreigners will eat it.

إِنَّهُمْ يَزْرَعُونَ الرِّيحَ، وَسَيَحْصُدُونَ الزَّوْبَعَةَ. زَرْعٌ عَقِيمٌ لَا يَصْنَعُ دَقِيقاً، وَإِنْ صَنَعَ يَلْتَهِمُهُ الْغُرَبَاءُ.

I sår en vind og høster en storm![a] Jeres korn giver ingen aks og derfor intet mel. Og hvis det gjorde, ville de fremmede kaste sig over det.

Wer Wind sät, wird Sturm ernten. Wenn das Getreide nicht wächst, gibt es auch kein Mehl. Und selbst wenn sich ein paar Ähren fänden, würden Fremde sie verzehren!

Ils ont semé le vent,ils moissonneront la tempête :“Blé sans épi |ne produira pas de farine.”Et même s’il en produisait,ce sont des étrangers |qui la dévoreraient.

“Pareho lang nga nagapanggas sila sang hangin kag nagaani sang buhawi.[c] Pareho man sa trigo nga wala sing uhay, indi ini makahatag sang kalan-on. Pero bisan makahatag man, ang mga taga-iban nga lugar amo ang magalamon sini.

彼らは風を蒔いて、つむじ風を刈り取る。麦には穂が出ず、茎だけが立っている。そのうち枯れて病気になり、実を結ばない。たとえ実を結んでも、外国人に食べられてしまう。

“그들은 바람을 심고 폭풍을 거둘 것이다. 심은 것이 줄기는 있어도 이삭이 없으므로 열매를 맺을 수 없고 또 열매를 맺는다 해도 외국인들이 그것을 먹을 것이다.

Zij hebben wind gezaaid en zullen storm oogsten. Hun korenhalmen dragen geen aren en het gewas levert dus geen meel op. Als er al iets wordt geoogst, eten vreemdelingen het op.

“Eles semeiam vento e colhem tempestade.Talo sem espiga; que não produz farinha.Ainda que produzisse trigo, estrangeiros o devorariam.

Semearam ventos, colherão tempestades. As suas searas não deram frutos nenhuns, não têm farinha; e se alguma se encontrar, serão os estrangeiros a comê-la.

Pentru că au semănat vânt, vor secera furtună!Nu vor avea parte de spic cu boabe; din ce va răsări, nu se va putea face făină;şi chiar dacă s-ar putea face, ar înghiţi-o străinii.

Люди сеют ветер, а пожнут бурю.У стебля пшеницы не будет колоса, и зерно не даст муки.А там, где пшеница произведёт зерно, чужеземцы поглотят его.

De sår vind och skördar storm. Deras säd är tomma strån utan ax. De kan inte ge mjöl, och om de skulle ge något, slukas det av främlingar.

“พวกเขาหว่านลมและเก็บเกี่ยวลมพายุหมุนต้นข้าวไม่มีรวงมันจะไม่ให้ข้าวสำหรับทำแป้งแม้มันจะเกิดผลแต่ชาวต่างชาติก็จะกลืนกินหมด

他们种的是风，收的是暴风。他们的庄稼长不出穗子，结不出籽粒，就是有收成，也要被外族人吃掉。

他 们 所 种 的 是 风 ， 所 收 的 是 暴 风 ； 所 种 的 不 成 禾 稼 ， 就 是 发 苗 也 不 结 实 ； 即 便 结 实 ， 外 邦 人 必 吞 吃 。

他們種的是風，收的是暴風。他們的莊稼長不出穗子，結不出籽粒，就是有收成，也要被外族人吃掉。
