Hosea 13:1

When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling and terror.He exalted himself [above the other tribes] in Israel;But through [the worship of] Baal he became guilty and died [spiritually, and then came ruin, sealing Israel’s doom as a nation].

When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.

1-3 God once let loose against Ephraim a terrifying sentence against Israel:Caught and convicted in the lewd sex-worship of Baal—they died!And now they’re back in the sin business again, manufacturing god-images they can use,Religion customized to taste. Professionals see to it: Anything you want in a god you can get.Can you believe it? They sacrifice live babies to these dead gods— kill living babies and kiss golden calves!And now there’s nothing left to these people: hollow men, desiccated women,Like scraps of paper blown down the street, like smoke in a gusty wind.

عِنْدَمَا تَكَلَّمَ أَفْرَايِمُ اعْتَرَى الرُّعْبُ الأُمَمَ، وَعَظُمَ شَأْنُهُ فِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَلَكِنْ حِينَ عَبَدَ الْبَعْلَ وَأَثِمَ مَاتَ.

Tidligere var det sådan, at når Efraims stamme talte, rystede folk af skræk, for hele Israel så op til dem. Men de syndede ved at dyrke Ba’al og dødsdømte derved sig selv.

“Sang una, kon maghambal na gani ang tribo sang Efraim nagakurog sa kahadlok ang iban nga mga tribo sang Israel, kag ginadayaw nila siya. Pero nakasala ang iya katawhan tungod sang ila pagsimba kay Baal. Amo gani nga nagkalamatay[a] sila.

かつてはイスラエルが何か言うと、国々は恐れのあまり震え上がったものです。イスラエルが強力な君主だったからです。ところが、イスラエルはバアルを拝んで、滅びを決定的なものにしました。

에브라임 지파가 말하면 이스라엘의 다른 지파가 두려워하여 그를 우러 러보더니 그가 바알을 숭배하여 범죄하였으므로 망하고 말았다.

Wanneer Israël vroeger sprak, beefden de volken van angst, want Israël was een dappere held. Maar de Israëlieten gingen Baäl aanbidden en hun vonnis was geveld.

När Efraim talade bävade man, för han var upphöjd i Israel. Men han gjorde sig skyldig till baalsdyrkan och dog.

从 前 以 法 莲 说 话 ， 人 都 战 兢 ， 他 在 以 色 列 中 居 处 高 位 ； 但 他 在 事 奉 巴 力 的 事 上 犯 罪 就 死 了 。
