Genesis 39:4

So Joseph pleased Potiphar and found favor in his sight and he served him as his personal servant. He made Joseph overseer over his house, and he put all that he owned in Joseph’s charge.

فَحَظِيَ يُوسُفُ بِرِضَى سَيِّدِهِ، فَجَعَلَهُ وَكِيلاً عَلَى بَيْتِهِ وَوَلَّاهُ عَلَى كُلِّ مَالَهُ.

Derfor valgte Potifar hurtigt Josef som sin personlige tjener, lod ham bestyre hele sin ejendom og gav ham ansvaret for alle sine forretningsforetagender.

Deshalb bevorzugte er ihn vor allen anderen Sklaven und machte ihn zu seinem persönlichen Diener. Er setzte Josef zum Hausverwalter ein und vertraute ihm seinen ganzen Besitz an.

Han såg med välvilja på Josef och gjorde honom till sin närmaste man. Josef fick ansvar för hela hushållet och över allt som Potifar ägde.
