Genesis 35:7

There he built an altar [to worship the Lord], and called the place El-bethel (God of the House of God), because there God had revealed Himself to him when he escaped from his brother.

Der byggede Jakob et alter og kaldte det El-Betel,[a] for det var der, Gud havde vist sig for ham, dengang han flygtede fra sin bror.

Där reste Jakob ett altare som han kallade El Betel[c]. Det var ju i Betel som Gud hade visat sig för honom när han flydde från sin bror.
