Genesis 22:7

And Isaac said to Abraham, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” Isaac said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

Isaac said to Abraham his father, “Father?”“Yes, my son.”“We have flint and wood, but where’s the sheep for the burnt offering?”

Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” And he said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

Then Isaac said to his father Abraham, “Father?”“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said. “But where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

Isaac turned to Abraham and said, “Father?”“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.“We have the fire and the wood,” the boy said, “but where is the sheep for the burnt offering?”

وَقَالَ إِسْحاقُ لإِبْرَاهِيمَ أَبِيهِ: «يَا أَبِي». فَأَجَابَهُ: «نَعَمْ يَا بُنَيَّ». فَسَأَلَهُ: «هَا هِيَ النَّارُ وَالْحَطَبُ، وَلَكِنْ أَيْنَ خَرُوفُ الْمُحْرَقَةِ؟».

„Far,” sagde Isak.„Ja, min dreng.”„Vi har brændet og ilden—men hvor er det lam, der skal ofres?”

»Vater?«, fragte Isaak. »Ja, mein Sohn.« »Feuer und Holz haben wir – aber wo ist das Lamm für das Opfer?«
