Ezra 9:4

Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel because of the unfaithfulness of the exiles gathered to me as I sat appalled until the evening offering. Prayer of Confession

Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.

Then everyone who trembled with fear at God’s words gathered around me. That’s because the people who had returned from Babylon had not been faithful. So I was very upset. I just sat there until the time of the evening sacrifice.

وَالْتَفَّ حَوْلِي كُلُّ مَنْ أَرْعَبَهُ قَضَاءُ إِلَهِ إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ أَجْلِ مَا ارْتَكَبَهُ الْمَسْبِيُّونَ مِنْ خِيَانَةٍ. أَمَّا أَنَا فَبَقِيتُ جَالِساً غَارِقاً فِي حَيْرَتِي إِلَى تَقْدِمَةِ الْمَسَاءِ.

De, som havde dyb respekt for Israels Guds befalinger til sit folk, og som frygtede Guds straf på grund af den synd, som var begået, kom og sad hos mig. Sådan sad vi overvældet af sorg, indtil det var tid at bringe aftenofferet.

Autour de moi se réunirent, à cause de cette infidélité des anciens exilés, tous ceux qui étaient respectueux des paroles du Dieu d’Israël. Je restai ainsi assis, accablé, jusqu’à l’offrande du soir.

Er verzamelde zich een grote groep mensen bij mij. Allen beefden van angst voor de God van Israël om deze zonde van de eerder teruggekeerde ballingen. Zo bleven wij verbijsterd zitten tot de tijd van het avondoffer.
