Then we asked those elders, ‘Who issued you a decree to rebuild this temple and to finish this structure?’

وَقَدْ سَأَلْنَا هَؤُلاءِ الْقَادَةَ: مَنْ أَمَرَكُمْ بِإِعَادَةِ بِنَاءِ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ وَاسْتِكْمَالِ هَذِهِ الأَسْوَارِ؛

Vi forhørte judæernes ledere om, hvem der havde givet tilladelse til byggeriet,

Wir fragten die Anführer, wer ihnen das erlaubt habe.
