Ezra 10:6

Then Ezra got up from before the house of God and went into the chamber of Jehohanan the son of Eliashib [and spent the night there]. He did not eat bread nor drink water, for he was mourning over the [former] exiles’ faithlessness.

Then Ezra left the plaza in front of The Temple of God and went to the home of Jehohanan son of Eliashib where he stayed, still fasting from food and drink, continuing his mourning over the betrayal by the exiles. 7-8 A notice was then sent throughout Judah and Jerusalem ordering all the exiles to meet in Jerusalem. Anyone who failed to show up in three days, in compliance with the ruling of the leaders and elders, would have all his possessions confiscated and be thrown out of the congregation of the returned exiles.

Then Ezra left the house of God. He went to Jehohanan’s room. Jehohanan was the son of Eliashib. While Ezra was there, he didn’t eat any food. He didn’t drink any water. That’s because he was filled with sadness. He mourned because the people weren’t faithful to the Lord’s commands. Those people were the ones who had returned from the land of Babylon.

ثُمَّ نَهَضَ عِزْرَا مِنْ أَمَامِ هَيْكَلِ اللهِ وَمَضَى إِلَى مُخْدَعِ يَهُوحَانَانَ بْنِ أَلِيَاشِيبَ، وَمَكَثَ هُنَاكَ لَا يَأْكُلُ خُبْزاً وَلا يَشْرَبُ مَاءً، نُوَاحاً عَلَى خِيَانَةِ الْعَائِدِينَ مِنَ السَّبْيِ.

Kag ang bisan sin-o nga indi magkadto sa sulod sang tatlo ka adlaw pagakuhaon sa iya ang tanan niya nga mga pagkabutang kag indi na siya pagkabigon nga sakop sang mga katawhan nga nagbalik halin sa pagkabihag.
