Ezekiel 36:22

“Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

“Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.

“So tell the Israelites, ‘The Lord and King speaks. He says, “People of Israel, I will not take action for your benefit. Instead, I will act for the honor of my holy name. You have treated it as if it were not holy. You did it everywhere you went among the nations.

“Therefore say to the Israelites, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: It is not for your sake, people of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.

‘Therefore say to the Israelites, “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: it is not for your sake, people of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.

“Therefore, give the people of Israel this message from the Sovereign Lord: I am bringing you back, but not because you deserve it. I am doing it to protect my holy name, on which you brought shame while you were scattered among the nations.

لِذَلِكَ قُلْ لِشَعْبِ إِسْرَائِيلَ: لَيْسَ لأَجْلِكُمْ أَنَا مُوْشِكٌ أَن أَعْمَلَ (عَظَائِمَ) يَا شَعْبَ إِسْرَائِيلَ، بَلْ غَيْرَةً عَلَى اسْمِي الَّذِي دَنَّسْتُمُوهُ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ الَّتِي تَفَرَّقْتُمْ بَيْنَهَا.

Sig derfor til Israels folk: Hør, hvad Herren siger: Jeg vil føre jer hjem igen, ikke fordi I fortjener det, men for mit eget hellige navns skyld, som har fået et dårligt ry over hele verden på grund af jer.
