These things will be done to you because you have prostituted yourself with the [Gentile] nations, because you have defiled yourself with their idols.

I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols.

These things will be done to you because you have played the harlot with the nations, because you have defiled yourself with their idols.

That is why you will be punished. You longed for lovers in other nations. You made yourself impure by worshiping their gods.

Al den elendighed er du selv skyld i, fordi du dyrkede fremmede folkeslags guder og gjorde dig selv uren ved at tilbede deres afgudsbilleder.
