Ezekiel 16:20

“Moreover, you took your sons and your daughters whom you had borne to Me, and you destroyed them as sacrifices [to your man-made gods]. Were your gross immoralities so small a matter?

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,

“ ‘ “Then you took your sons and daughters who belonged to me. And you sacrificed them as food to other gods. Wasn’t it enough for you to be a prostitute?

“‘And you took your sons and daughters whom you bore to me and sacrificed them as food to the idols. Was your prostitution not enough?

‘“And you took your sons and daughters whom you bore to me and sacrificed them as food to the idols. Was your prostitution not enough?

“Then you took your sons and daughters—the children you had borne to me—and sacrificed them to your gods. Was your prostitution not enough?

ثُمَّ أَخَذْتِ أَبْنَاءَكِ وَبَنَاتِكِ الَّذِينَ أَنْجَبْتِهِمْ لِي، فَذَبَحْتِهِمْ قَرَابِينَ لَهَا. فَهَلْ كَانَ زِنَاكِ أَمْراً يَسِيراً؟

Og som om det ikke var nok, slagtede du også de sønner og døtre, du havde født mig, og ofrede dem som føde til dine afguder. Var det ikke tilstrækkeligt, at du horede med dem?

Die Söhne und Töchter, die du mir geboren hattest, warfst du den Götzen zum Fraß vor. War die Hurerei, die du getrieben hattest, dir noch zu wenig?

De zonen en dochters die u voor Mij ter wereld had gebracht, offerde u als voedsel aan uw goden. Zij zijn er niet meer. Was het al niet erg genoeg dat u een prostituee was?
