Moses entered the midst of the cloud and went up the mountain; and he was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

وَاخْتَفَى مُوسَى فِي وَسَطِ السَّحَابِ وَصَعِدَ إِلَى الجَبَلِ حَيْثُ مَكَثَ هُنَاكَ أَرْبَعِينَ نَهَاراً وَأَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً.

Moses gik nu alene endnu højere op og forsvandt ind i skyen. Og han var på bjerget i 40 dage.[a]
